While the front desk staff was overall friendly and the rooftop terrace cute, the wifi in the room (9th floor) and the lobby was terrible. It would come on then disappear constantly. The speed was worse than a snail crawling. The restaurant and bar next to the lobby features a live DJ every night who blasts loudly into 1 or 2am. The sound could be heard from the rooftop. Also, there are two small elevators and one was broken during the last two days of my three-day stay. Lastly, upon checking out in the early morning, one front desk agent told me to get free breakfast in the restaurant. But I was sure that my booking didn't include breakfast. If it did, then the agent checking me in did not inform me. One upside about this hotel is the room size as well as the location. But I'd not stay here again due to the slow wifi and loud music from the restaurant that they own.

This a very nice friendly hotel. I stayed there for 9 nights in early March 2020. This hotel is actually a hidden gem about 4-5 blocks from the beach. The location is great because it is right between Copacabana and Ipanema beach. It is in a low-key area in Ipanema and all of a sudden you walk in and surprise! Very nice, clean and fashionable. The price is not too high like your high end hotels and not too low, a nice moderate hotel. What I love about my room was the large walk in shower! The whole bathroom was very nice and clean with a large wide mirror. I had a King suite so my room was very nice and spacious. The morning breakfast buffet was the best i have ever had! Excellent. The staff was very friendly, helpful and speak English too. Someone is always at the front desk to assist. If you like a moderate size hotel and wish to save some money then this is a great place! I will definitely stay here again!

I stayed here with 4 friends and this hotel perfectly suited our needs. We stayed in an executive room with a small balcony. You could see Copacabana beach which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice for vegetarians and meat eaters. Lovely fresh fruit and a delicious walnut bread. We did not eat here for dinner so couldn't comment on that. Location was perfect, eateries and bars nearby if you do not want to venture far. Beach literally a 2 minute walk away. The rooftop pool was small but enough for you to cool off and sip a cocktail or two by. The station was close as well as Ipanema, sugar loaf and CTR. I would say this is not a luxury hotel, but more than suited our needs for a girlie week away In the sun. PLEASE - hooks in the bathroom, an iron board and tea facilities in room would be great. SHOUT OUT - to Leonardo, Marina and the other receptionist wearing glasses plus all the breakfast staff. You were all excellent and helped to make our stay enjoyable.

I stayed there for five nights in January 2020, and have only good things to say about the hotel. Nice and clean room, good food in the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff (with good advices about where to go - and not to go), great location (400 meters from Copacabana beach and across the street from Cardeal Arcoverde metro station) and in a pretty busy and safe part of the city, with many shops and restaurants. Not too expensive rooms. They can also offer transport to the international airport for 25 real. That's much cheaper than taxi!

I had my doubts about the quality of the hotel due to the previous comments, but I was 6 days, 5 nights and I loved it. The room was small, but comfortable with everything needed, the daily cleaning was excellent, the staff very careful, although not everyone speaks Spanish the readiness to solve your doubts is very good. It is located in the centre of Lapa, in front of the hotel and near the hotel there are several stores that operate until late (apotheke, supermarket, clothes stores, restaurant, etc.). The public transportation is outside the hotel and you can reach anywhere in the city (beaches, museums, fairs). They do not offer tours but call a spectacular tour agency ( river40 degrees); breakfast is a buffet type, very varied, strong with different sweet, salt, juices and fruit accompanies. The pool is of medium size, low-drop but pleasant for bath****.

I stayed in the hotel for the commitment I had because it was close. As it was one night only, I chose to book. The room was very dirty, sabble paper open in the pier, all dirty. 2 towels, 1 was acceptable and the other was completely swept and damaged. I put it on the floor because I had no courage to use it. The bed is horrible and noisy, and the dressers too. Have you seen a short shirt? Yes, it was so much to cover up to half the body and thinnerly impossible. I had nothing but that shirt to cover. Summary: I didn't sleep anything, super discomfortable. It's all about all the rooms, bad clothing. Coffee is half mouth, but in any case I've seen worse. The only positive point is that the reception official called ”D”. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised by the information that the system was out of the air and would take a little, then the same offered us 2 courtesy drinks for the event. The only thing I liked at the hotel, but you're only reserved in the last case if you don't want to get angry.

Stayed here due to the hotel being so close to Rio’s Bus Terminal. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfy and dinner wasn’t bad either. Has a really nice rooftop pool with great views of downtown Rio. Good value for money! There’s not much outside the hotel but it’s a good hotel for stopping on your way through Rio or to catch and early Bus.

NNickGodliman60We live near Rio, if we are going out for a night in Rio or taking Friends out this is where we stay! We book two rooms, One for us one for the nanny and children ! Spend the day by the beautiful pool, then walk the 5 minutes to the centre of Lapa in the evening! Its a fairly ”adult” hotel, but its suits us because of the location and the babies love the pool ! I would recommend staying here one or two nights to experience the nightlife, Spanish steps and the local vibe ! Breakfast is good but the ”oasis” factor is the big deal ! Downsides, checkin can be slow, but they promise me they are working on that, and for the price which is an absolute bargain most of the time makes this a no brainer ! The rooms by the pool are perfect and worth the little extra, the staff are great! I stay here once a month and cant recommend it highly enough ! Of course you get what you pay for, there is no parking, and it can get busy, but as someone who stays in hotels a lot, I recommend this as literally an oasis in the centre of the party district ! And its great value for money !

In these times with Covid-19, quarantine stayed just under 21 days. These are the times when an outstanding hotel staff make all the different. GGuest UserThe Hotel it’s not as good as it promised. The location, if you come on holidays, it’s not close to the beach. You really need a car for every moment of the day (beach/ lunch/ dinner). The place has a lot of traffic so it’s normal to take an hour to do 6km. The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms. The pool is too small for the size of the hotel. I won’t came back.

Very well decorated, beautiful environment and the rooms are large and in good spirits. The restaurant has great options, is very varied, and the food is very tasty. Breakfast, even with the protocols against the coronavirus, is well served, varied and very tasty. The best of all was the service, the whole staff very helpful and attentive.

Wwesternboots 2020年３月に5泊しました。空港からホテルまでタクシー・車以外の交通手段はありません。空港のarrivalで雲助タクシーに引っかかって、BRL280を払って乗ってしまいました（通常のタクシー料金はBRL100~120）。しかも交通事情が悪く、1時間半はかかります。特に夕方の時間帯は渋滞がひどく、夜７時発フライトの荷物チェックインの締め切り時間を過ぎてしまって、改めて当日片道航空券を買い直す羽目に。GIG-TYO間でUSD5800もかかってしまい散財しました。皆さま、余裕を持って行動されることをお薦めします。 ホテルはビーチ沿いにあり、屋上にジムとプールがあります。屋上からの眺めと同様、窓からも景色が良くて堪能しました（朝日の写真参照）。部屋は広くありませんが十分でした。清掃も行き届いておりましたが、safety boxの不具合で、毎日、担当係の人を呼ぶ羽目になりました。気さくに来てくれて、友達になりました。シャワーの出具合も天井からの場合は良かったですが、ハンドタイプからの出具合は悪かったです。夜間は道沿いですが静かで、ベッドの寝心地も良かったです。TV は地元ローカル局と、BBC, CNN, スペインなどがメインで日本語放送はありません。朝食は写真の通り豊富でした。自分で作るジューサーもありますので、お好みの味で飲めます（写真参照）。ホテル前がビーチになっています。また徒歩圏内にスーパーもありますので、飲み物やテイクアウト食料が買えて便利です。またTaxiで10分位乗ると、Olegario Maciel Av.沿いにブティック、レストラン、銀行などが立ち並び、夜は楽しめました。ホテルのスタッフは皆さん親切で、ツアーの予約やホテル周辺の案内など、また雑談にも気軽に応じてくれていい人たちばかりでした。Rioは見どころが多く、魅力たっぷりです（写真参照）。次回は散財しないように注意して、再訪したいと思います。 I visited on March 2020 and stayed at 5 nights. This hotel is built at ocean front. So, short distance walk to beach is very convenient. Room is very clean in spite of a little bit small, and very comfortable with quiet at night. Breakfast is very delicious with many items. All staff is very kindly person with good speaking in English. The distance is far from the airport and take a long time due to the traffic jam. Therefore, it is necessary you have to have a enough time.

DDan2006Located in central area away from the traffic laden Copacabana beach area. Unless you plan to swim at Copacabana beach a lot, this is a good location for the sights and very accessible from the San Dumont airport. Uber/taxi very cheap to sugar loaf and other attractions. Good choice of buffet breakfast with a mix of local and western food. Very helpful front desk, especially Renata. Rooms are basic, but clean.

EEjam03Even before I enter the hotel they stop me to check my temperature. Distant check in is the norm at this hotel which, was great to see. Hand sanitizer throughout the hotel. The staff was cleaning consistently. At breakfast everything was wrapped in plastic on the table. The waiters brought a tray of food all wrapped in plastic from which to choose from. The selection was great. And the service was outstanding. The front desk staff was very helpful.

GGuest UserThis is a very nice location in a very safe part of Rio. We have only been to this area for the Rock in Rio Festivals. It’s not the best situated for the tourist attractions of Rio but it is far safer than closer in to the city. Walking around the beach at night and visiting restaurants and bars is perfectly fine. The staff here are friendly and it is a clean and tidy hotel. The only bad point is the very slow checking in and out process at the front desk. The beach bar directly in front of the hotel is very nice and worth a visit. There are a lot of facilities around the hotel itself including shops, cafes, restaurants and a hair dresser. The whole setting is much nicer than the areas of Copacabana as there are a lot less gym boys and people with Botox bodies although there are still some. The beach is busy during the day but is nearly empty come sunset. Getting a taxi outside is very easy and all are the official yellow ones.

GGuest UserI left disappointed even tho I had to extend a few time due to the fact that most of the hotels were occupied since it was carnival time.
I strongly believe that they could have been more prepaid for the amount of guests and provide more of comfort.
They charged for water in the room, I think it should be complementary always. There was a place for a fridge, but no fringe whatsoever. The room was really small and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The lights are too dimmed in the hall that gives you an impression that you’re in a club or something. The staff was friendly and helpful however I would not stay there again. Maybe it’s because of the carnival, normally I would want to believe they do their job much better.
For me what was important:
Restaurant: I could have dinner at the hotel always: you just pay 45R$ entrance to dining area and you can serve yourself with the buffet fresh made food. I enjoyed this option so much.
Location: was very nice, subway is in 10 minutes walk, the Pyramid is in walking distance as well as museum of future and downtown. The beaches are very far, so you should take a taxi or metro.
