Hotels in Porto Maravilha, Rio de Janeiro

The room we had was nice, spacious and pretty. The bad thing was that the view was towards an ugly area on the outside. Unfortunately the location is not in a nice place or one that seems safe. The breakfast was basic.

I was looking for a hotel for the New Year holidays in Rio de Janeiro. For the price that you can only rent a dubious hostel for in Copacabana, I rented a room in a full-fledged excellent hotel Windsor with history and corresponding service The location in the center (although there are also a number of interesting sights near the hotel) is easily compensated by using Uber (to the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema - about 45 BRL, Jardim Botanico - 26 BRL, Barra da Tijuca - 60 BRL, from the airport GIG - 63, back - 44 That is, taxi prices in Rio are very affordable Among the undoubted advantages, I will note a varied breakfast with a large number of hot dishes, fruits, natural juices, pastries. My first room had the worst stains on the chair and sofa. No way should this room been allowed for check in. I booked a queen bed apartment and was moved to a. Double bed room with a view as trade. I was tired and could not be bothered to argue. There was an apology by the checkin staff. The breakfast is average (I came from Salvador where breakfast was amazing). Housekeeping and services were good - all the ladies were nice and pleasant. The bed had one pillow and the sheets had holes. There was no spare blanket in the room and the duvet provided was not the best so it got cold on a few nights and was too hot on others. Shower facilities were good but no skin lotion in the room which was fine as I had my own. No free water in the room only the minibar too - had to go to ibis hotel next door at like 2am to buy stuff there …both hotels are linked Generally the stay was mediocre and the area does not have anything to do. It is ok and central for Uber which was a bonus. Would I stay there again - hardly likely Would I challenge that I am owed money as the room I paid for is not what I was given - may do …if I have the energy Hopefully Novotel would reach out to me before that happens Images below

The hotel is close to the bus station. It only takes about 10 yuan to get to the bus station by taxi. It is not far from several attractions and is close to the Maracanã Stadium. The hotel room is not big and you can see the sea.

Basic hotel in the centre of Rio with breakfast included. It probably has the best value for money. Wifi was available at reception, not in room.

The hotel has a great experience with Pompeu. A great service, the hotel's dependences are excellent and breakfast is also.

Excellent cost benefit, for whoever wants to spend little compensates, metro a few quarters so it is easy to go elsewhere like beaches and so on. Only the neighborhood that is not very nice, but I recommend it anyway.
