This is a truly exceptional and unique lodge. It’s located a short drive from one of the best beaches in Rio, and yet is an oasis of calm. You would never know that you were so close to a lively and noisy city. The house and grounds are very comfortable and full of character. It’s the perfect place to relax after seeing the sights. But what really stood out was Matteo, the host. He was more than helpful. He really took the trouble not just to check that we were happy with the accommodation, but to make sure that every other aspect of our stay was going well too. He is an exceptionally attentive and kind host! We just wish we’d stayed longer!

Absolutely amazing, stunning place! Matteo is a fantastic host, always available and at the same time "invisible" when not "required", lovely chap! We spent a marvelous time surround by green and water. To have breakfast in front of Pedra da Gavea is an unforgettable experience. We'll be back and I can't recommend this enough.

Tuakaza is Paradise! We arrived in the evening, it was dark and we couldn't enjoy the view, but in the morning, at dawn, we were blown away by the panorama of Pedra de Gavea directly from our bed! We were welcomed by our wonderful host Matteo, who starts by telling us that Tuakaza is "our home" and it is, we immediately feel at home. Matteo is very discreet but always attentive to all our needs, we were even upgraded to the magnificent suite. The house is incredible, nestled in the middle of the forest. Every day we travel to the center and then in the evening we are happy to be in peace in this paradise on earth. Good breakfast, clean room, everything is available if we have a little hunger or a little thirst. Thank you again a thousand times we will come back very soon.
