The A22 is a beautiful hotel with impeccable service. Pre stay emails were answered extremely promptly. Although the location is not super central - it's about 15 minutes walk to the old town, it would not put me of staying again. Taxis ordered on the bolt app where there within minutes and cost under EUR5. I upgraded to a suite, as it was the only room in the hotel with twin beds because I was sharing with my daughter. However, my parents' deluxe room was actually as nice and - as far as I could tell - the same size, and had a better view of the park, rather than the back of the hotel! Although our room had a bath, on balance, I would have preferred theirs - apart from the bed configuration - this was my only "complaint" having paid extra, I expected ours to be "better". It looks just as good as the pictures online and the furnishings are beautiful. The rooms were lovely and warm - perhaps a bit too warm! We struggled to turn the heat down on the touch panel (there didn't appear to be any instructions), but after the first night we realised we could turn the radiators down manually. I also struggled to use the amazing looking sound system, as there were not instructions (we could find). I thought the bed was fantastic - it was quite firm - but my mum didn't sleep so well. I liked the pillows, too, and there was a pillow menu for those with particular preferences. Despite the above mentioned few very minor negatives, we had a fantastic stay. It is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, and I am reasonably well travelled after being in the travel industry for over 20 years.
