The staff were spectacular -very helpful and kind.
Room was clean, and modern.
Lobby was nice.
Easy walk to town and train station with a small grocery store at the other end of the parking lot.
Shower was not easy to climb into and wouldn’t work for tall people. Also, the temperature control was confusing and didn’t seem to change the temperature no matter how we changed it.
Still- I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it.

Ice cubes
It wasn't possible to have some ice cubes. They were saying they didn't have any? That's the first hotel i have been to, where they don't (won't) give me ice cubes. In that case they should put the free water in the fridge instead of putting it on the table so it gets varm.
Last thing was the juice at breakfast. It seams that the first juice in the morning are from the day before (99% sure) i think it's because there is a automatically juice refill machine. So they don't empty the bottles and clean them. Instead they put in the fridge for the next day. Glad i have my own juice in the minibar.

Very nice staff, and the connection to the Hammer Restaurant and Bar, top. Very good aspargus meal on the terrace. Nice view of the river Elben. Beds were excellent, very clean all over. No so much to see in Riesa, but the location of the hotel is very close to the center of the town.

Oh my word this place is like a nightmare! It makes outdated look outdated! Beds pillows and linen are just horrific, the bathrooms are old and ugly! The tv is so small I felt like I was trying to watch a laptop from my bed and there is ONLY German tv, considering a hotel would generally have foreigners it would have been amazing to just have one channel in English! The breakfast was terrible! I could not wait to leave this place and I’m so glad I never have to go back!

Very friendly reception, clean and spacious rooms, chambermaids always polite, air conditioning in the room, parking space can be reserved for €5/day, and much more. All in all a lovely house. The only thing was that the mattress in my bed was very soft.
