Top rated hotels in Richmond

Hilton Richmond Downtown

After rushing for one night, it is difficult to give a sufficient and reasonable evaluation. The location of the hotel is in the city, there are still a lot of places to eat around, there are not many places to visit. The hotel itself is ok.
Moxy Richmond Downtown

What a fun adventure the Moxy is. This was my 1st time staying at a Moxy. I am a loyal Marriott business traveler. If you have never stayed here, I would recommend trying it for an upbeat fresh change. The hotel is centered around a vivid bar and lobby experience. The lobby decore in itself is worth the stop in. The service was great. From check-in to the the bar staff. Streamlined and friendly. Be sure to stop in and see Whitney, Becca and Ian. The rooms are simple but functional. If you are using the room for business (needing a desk), it will be a little tight but there are more than enough areas in the lobby to plug in and get some emails done. Also, if you get a chance to eat at Lillie's Pearl, it will be the best braised short ribs and banana pudding that you will ever have.
Quality Inn North

Start with a 5 - take off 1/2 circle because of the road noise, 1/2 for the poor bathroom setup (the soap shelf in the shower sticks out so you can bruise your back, it took five or more minutes to get hot water in the evening, some lesser issues), 1/2 off for the really dirty nightstand and light, and 1/2 off for no EV charger (c'mon, it's 2024, people stay at hotels because they travel and stay overnight). The beds were reasonably comfortable, and earplugs (the 30 decibel blocking kind) took care of the road noise. The hallways smelled of someone cooking but it was fine inside the room and most of the room was very clean - just the nightstand and light were fairly gross. Breakfast was good (it was not grab and go like they list on the web site) , but somewhat limited. As someone else mentioned, the ”balcony” was a concrete slab we couldn't get to because of a locked sliding door that had substantial air gaps (probably made the road noise worse too). The hotel was inexpensive and we were just passing through. I would stay again if nothing better was available, but I would definitely look elsewhere if we visit Richmond again.
Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump

This hotel was a great stop over spot on our way to the beach. We paid $173 for one night. Very nice hotel. Close to restaurants. Clean. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Easy on and off the Interstate. We will use it again.
Hyatt Place Richmond Arboretum
3.8/5100 Reviews
The feel of the property is welcoming from the time one enters the lot. Nestled away from the busy Midlothian Turnpike traffic, one would hardly believe there’s a bustling metropolis beyond the trees! The staff was attentive and the attentions to COVID-19 guidelines was so on point. The room was meticulously cleaned. The noon check out was a godsend. I will be back!
Courtyard Richmond Downtown

We visit last night, check in was pleasant enough and the rooms were clean. The beds were very uncomfortable and a disappointment for a Marriott brand hotel. We had breakfast at the bistro & they only had one person working & they filled a complicated coffee order before before they made our food. They then forgot part of the order that was for our 4 year old so the adults had their food but she had to wait longer. The food at the bistro was microwaved & wasn’t worth it. On top of it, the website states that pets aren’t welcome yet we saw several people with dogs and we are highly allergic. We won’t be going back and I am a Marriott Member.
