"The hotel is great and the laundry can be done in the room. Parking must be reserved in advance, otherwise there may be no parking spaces when you check in. It is very inconvenient to park in the parking space outside. We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 4 nights."

"Clean and tidy apartment. Location is relatively near the city and has a lot of food options around, with a supermarket nearby too. Carpark lots available for booking too if you are planning to drive at only $10 per night. Can't ask for anything better"

"The morning food items could be improved and the food turns cold fast, not many variety. When we checked in, we saw a fork and spoon outside our door and it was still there till the last day we checked out. Directions to hotel is not very clear. based on google map, easy to travel by tram from melbourne central.. However the toilet has filtered water for drinking and spacious enough for hot shower which is good. Basic toilet amenities could be topped up and room service could be made better. Bedroom is big enough for a good sleep and has good charging points. However, the coffee cup can be washed well. Overall, will be suitable for unpicky travellers."

"Great place to stay my only negative comment would be that the outdoor areas could be cleaner as in the balconies also a few things were not working such the phone and some of the power sockets. Other than that great stay!"

"Room was tastefully decorated with decent amenities but had a few critical issues: - mattress was sloping downwards on one end - bathroom had a rain shower but the open wall design (lack of doors) meant that the water was constantly splashing out. What’s the point of a rain shower if we can’t use it because of the water splashing out? - no fan / ventilation in the bathroom. We spent time in airbnbs and older apartments in Tasmania but the Motley Richmond hotel in Melbourne was the only accommodation without an airvent / fan! Not really acceptable for a 4 star hotel, as it left our bathroom smelly and/or stuffy. - kettle barely fit underneath the tap if we wanted to boil a cup of tea. Once again, the little things showed that the team did not think through the furniture design and appliance and the overall customer experience."

"I was surprised this property was rated as high as it was. It was fine, if a little basic. The room was very noisy from both inside and outside the property. Close to public transport but you need it to get anywhere as it is quite far from the main sites."

"We had an amazing time , great location next to the MCG , the cooking facilities are really good and the staff ae helpful . We just wanted to mention sometimes the shower flooded under the shower currtain."

"The location of this hotel is very good, very close to the city. It takes a 15-minute walk and two parks to reach Melbourne's free tram area. In addition, the room is clean and sanitary, and it has its own parking lot in the backyard, which is rare. ;The best thing is that the staff are polite and kind.
