Super 8 by Wyndham Bloomington/Airport

Bloomington|2.52km from Wood Lake Nature Center
No slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, remember to bring it yourself/to Walmart to buy it (9 minutes walk/3 minutes drive). There is a 24-hour/7-day pick-up and drop-off service (but there is a time to wait). Breakfast is in the lobby on the first floor and can be brought back to the house: paper cupcakes with wrapping, biscuits with jam filling (?), orange/apple juice and oranges. Free coffee and iced water (adds like sugar are available) are available 24 hours a day in the lobby on the first floor. There is a washing machine dryer, but all need to pay a coin, a quarter at a time, wash and bake separately. On the third floor. There's a bath and shower head, all together. - A small bottle of shampoo and conditioner each (small, small), but three small pieces of soap. There's a TV desk safe, a couch for things, and so on. Double room space is OK, there is a place to hang clothes. 500rmb one night. If the single room kingsize bed, there is no place to hang clothes, there is a rocking chair sofa. More than 700 rmb one night. All rooms feel the same size and the facilities are nuanced. Personally feel that the double room is more cost-effective. The door is safer and heavy, with double locks (door handles and anti-theft chains). The windows are double windows with anti-theft buttons. The room on the road may be a bit noisy. There is a parking lot with a small slide play area inside.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Bloomington/Minneapolis

Hotel was in a decent location and had ample parking (although confusing that they may or may not charge for parking). The staff were friendly and quickly changed our room when we found items left behind by someone else in the room at check-in. The manager's reception was the WORST that we've ever experienced at an Embassy Suites. Chips & Chex only that ran out quickly and was next to the buffet so people kept waiting for additional items to come out, no cleaning of tables, only 1 bartender for adult drinks so extremely long lines. Every other Embassy Suites I've been too has included a hot item or side dish item in the manager's reception and a manager or staff member rotating around to tables checking in with guests. That didn't happen here. We ended up ordering kids' meals at the restaurant but didn't get any adult meals because they would not allow any substitutions and all food items had something that adults could not eat. Turns out BBQ sauce for chicken strips was an extra cost at the restaurant, which seems odd for a $8 kids meal to not include a dipping sauce, plus it said it came with drinks but we didn't get any (which was ok because the kids already had some pop from the manager's reception). Luckily, the women working was wonderful and helped us out. Hallways were bright and noisy which is hard when there are window out to the hallway and curtains don't completely cover. At 2 am, there was a person yelling outside the door that we think was at the wrong room and it felt creepy that they were trying to look in! Hideway bed extremely uncomfortable, you could feel the springs poking through, no blankets provided. Only 2 towels in room even though it slept 4. We asked for blankets and more towels and both were provided so appreciate the staff for brining those up. Breakfast was the highlight of our stay. While it was slow to get plates and food restocked as well as tables cleaned, there was a good variety of breakfast items! Unfortunately, they only had 1 person making omlets and the line was a 10-15 minute wait the entire time we were there so no one in our group used that option. Check-out was easy. For the price, iffy if we'd stay again because we could have stayed at another chain with a breakfast option.

Four Points by Sheraton Mall of America Minneapolis Airport

Originally we had a reservation at a Holiday Inn. They were closed so they moved us here. I am glad that they did. Front desk staff was great; check in was fast and easy, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They added some special touches like towels folded into designs and a cute burlap bag to hold the coffee. The beds were very comfortable with nice, clean fluffy comforters. The shower was great; hot and a great working shower head. No free breakfast and the pool Is closed due to COVID-19.
Baymont by Wyndham Bloomington MSP Airport

Baymont Inn & Suites Bloomington MSP Airport is a decent option by MSP. I booked on Hotwire and honestly meant to get another hotel but oh well. This is definitely an older hotel. Get a bit loud at time. No hotel shuttle. Breakfast was ok: hotel waffles, juice, bread and coffee. No mini fridge or microwave in the room. I slept well. The room was clean. Furniture seemed up to date. Near public transit if that's what you need.
