Tui Blue Tropea

On arrival, greeted with an orange juice which will be the best of the stay because the one at breakfast is water + powder. Direction the rooms. If you have to choose, favor those which are renovated and maintained on the left side going towards the swimming pool. Ours look more like small housing estates. Room with terrace for us with little exterior maintenance, no privacy with the neighbors. For the interior impression of being in a clinic room. We also realize that the Italian shower is certainly not invented in Calabria because it floods half of the bathroom every day which is not renovated. General maintenance and cleaning left something to be desired. Meals in the form of a varied but very average buffet. The travelers, most of whom are German-speaking, give the impression of liking the food but without any judgment on their way of eating, they are not the kings of gastronomy ... The Culinarium restaurant which you can book once during your stay raises the level. The drinks at the mini bar and at the hotel (as in the city in general) are excessive. Already count 3 euros for a 1l bottle of water sold in the store for 0.25 cents. We also noticed that travelers moderated their consumption at the bar and during the evening meal for this reason. The surroundings of the swimming pool are on the other hand very beautiful, with a magnificent view of Stromboli in good weather and on a cove which is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in Tropea. To get to the beach there is a shuttle at specific times but it is possible to go there on foot (10-15 minutes). A private area with free deckchairs and parasols is provided and very spacious when you see the other tourists crammed next to it. Possibility of microwave catering under a small shaded straw hut. Drinks at the same price as the hotel. The sea is superb and the view from below is worth that from above, great. Be careful, the deckchairs located on the front line facing the sea are reserved for the hotel's 'luxury' rooms. To get to Tropea, it is best to travel by vehicle (1 hour on foot along the unpleasant road). A shuttle is provided but costs 5 euros per person. Do the math and you will not often go outside the hotel. You will have to book it and also respect the timetables. The small town of Tropea and its alleys is rather pretty and lively with countless restaurants and bars for those who like. The prices are in line with tourist towns, even a little more expensive for Italy than one might imagine affordable. Here are some observations that only engage my personal vision in comparison with my countless trips that are not listed on my profile due to lack of time…

The experience was excellent both with regards to the location (quiet also due to the positive absence of children and full of greenery) and for the reception service, in the room and at the restaurant and at the swimming pool) Very good local dishes and super friendly staff Basic room (it was 'last) a little dated but clean, spacious and welcoming. The beach is very beautiful and the umbrellas are well spaced and the well-stocked kiosk is super comfortable (really ice-cold drinks). the showers didn't work well and were frozen (even though there was the possibility of heating the water) but above all almost no one used them before diving, whether they came from the beach or during their stay in the pool after using sunscreens (we saw people with BLACK feet) the very helpful lifeguard had to constantly scold when he could (it would be enough to underline the obligation to use the shower upon arrival at reception or to place many more notices throughout the pool area given the ignorance of many guests about knowledge of the most basic hygiene rules. Except for this, which is fundamental for us, we would absolutely go back also for the amazing sunset

Everything was very satisfactory! The food was varied, the rooms were very clean, the air conditioning was very pleasant! The complex was very beautiful and well-kept. The location was perfect, you can reach a lot of things on foot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The week was very relaxing!

Wonderful resort in one of the most evocative places on the Calabrian coast. Structure full of comfort, spacious and clean room, excellent breakfast, spectacular view and beautiful beach. Professional, welcoming and always available staff. The lifeguard Gabriele is legendary: very nice and lively, the highlight of the whole holiday! Dario at the bar was also great, welcoming, very kind and helpful! We will be back ❤️
