Yes, the personnel is kind and helpful, the breakfast is not qualitatively great but they seem to struggle to diversify it, the room service is great, they regularly change everything, but.. You cannot plan your hotel with the washbasin inside the sleeping rooms because you projected the so called bathrooms to measure two square meters and you wanted the whole place to match 10-15 square meters in order the proprietor to earn double than normal. These are rooms for cats and dogs, not for humans. Unfortunately there is nothing to improve regarding this issue. Maybe if you break the wall between two rooms and make a normal one.. Three stars due to the good personnel and service only.

This hotel is near the sea in the new city of RDOS, because there are no tourists in winter, the hotel is very cheap, but the hotel facilities are not reduced because there are no tourists, heating is available, the service is super good, the breakfast is super rich, although I saw that I was eating breakfast alone, The hotel has a bus stop to the airport in three minutes, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to the old city. It is very convenient to have a bus to LINDOS for only 6 euros.

Had a fab stay at this delightful hotel for my daughter’s wedding and on the whole the Eagles Nest met all our needs, although air conditioning wasn’t great. Breakfast was varied and plenty of it and the Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful particularly Dmitri who runs the bar. Would recommend

Me and my partner have just returned from a long weekend stay and we were beyond excited for our trip. We had booked a private pool room as it was our anniversary and we thought that it would be a nice touch for us. When we checked in, we were given our room number and shown to our room. Once me and my partner stepped outside onto the terrace, we noticed that we had been given a sharing pool room and not the private pool room that we had booked. I went down by myself to speak to the man on reception to explain that we were not in the room we had booked and being an ex travel agent and someone who is currently working for a huge holiday company, I knew that this was not correct. The man on reception said to me that there was nothing he could do about it and insisted that the room we had been given, the sharing pool room, was more expensive and therefore better. When I returned to the room, I searched up both rooms on the website to find out that both rooms were in fact the same price and I was a little frustrated with the way the man had spoken to me. Me and my partner then went back to reception and when I was asking the man questions, he was answering them but looking at my boyfriend and not me, the person who was speaking, which both of us found extremely rude. The man could not say why we weren’t given the correct room and why we could not have this room that we had booked. He did however tell us to return to reception the following morning to discuss it then, which we did. The lady we spoke to the following morning was wonderful, she explained to us that it was an error on their end and that someone had been given our room by accident. She apologised profusely and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. We appreciated her honesty and although we weren’t happy with the room change and how we weren’t told prior to finding out ourselves, she did definitely make the situation better with her honesty. One thing I will mention about the sharing pool room is that the pool is not heated like the main pool during October. Having paid more money for this room than a standard room, you would hope that the pool would be treated the same as the main pool. The pool felt like it was as cold as ice and this meant that we rarely used the pool which was once again frustrating. On our final day, our flight home wasn’t until 11pm so we had booked a standard room as we had to check out of our original room at 12 and we wanted somewhere to put all of our belongings and somewhere to shower before the flight. The only thing we noticed about this room was that when we were showering, if you turned the water warmer, the pressure would get worse to the point that if you put the water fully onto hot, the water would quite literally just trickle out. Im not sure if this was an issue with just this room or all of the standard rooms and although it didn’t bother us too much as we were only there for one day, it may have if we were there for longer. Lovely small hotel in the centre of Rhodes town. Very nice modern recently refurbished rooms. Bed was so comfy. Room standard size with quality fittings. Bath robes provided and tea/coffee facilities. Free safe and fridge too. Pool is small and very cold - though it is just the beginning of the season. Has limited sun beds around it. It’s sunny enough to sit around in the afternoon though mornings are very shady. Staff are wonderful. So friendly and helpful. Personal trainer in gym is lovely too. He was so helpful with tips on where to go and always very welcoming. All the staff were fab. Couldn’t fault them. We ate out every night as spoilt for choice for local bars /restaurants nearby. We had cocktails and drinks in hotel. All were great value and lovely. I felt the lighting in the hotel is very bright in the evenings and would definitely benefit from lowering the lights to create a more intimate setting. It was so bright it sometimes felt like an airport lounge, and lacked cosyness and warmth a bit, all of which could be transformed with simply lowering the lighting to create a nicer ambiance in the evenings. Overall though we had a fabulous 11 days here and felt so welcome. Tui reps were also great. Always on hand and so friendly and efficient. I recommend this lovely hotel and all its lovely staff without a doubt.
Avalon Boutique Suites Hotel

Stayed overnight at the Avalon on arrival in Rhodes before getting the ferry to Symi the following morning. Also booked an overnight stay on return from Symi before flying back to London the following day. Avalon is very convenient to the ferry port and is situated in a quiet street only a few minutes walk to the bustling Old Town. Rooms are spacious, air conditioned, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast served in the beautiful courtyard. Management and staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.
