A stunning little spot, recently modernised, yet traditionally styled. Many of the original features of the original medieval building are retained or beautifully repurposed, for example, into the bed frame or light fixtures. The location could not have been better, nestled behind the bustling Sokratous street, but far away enough that you hear nothing from the nearby streets, squares or courtyards, only the chirp of the swifts and swallow circling above the courtyard as you enjoy your breakfast or a chilled glass of wine after wandering the cobbled streets of the old town. All of the key sights of the old town are no more than 5-7 minutes walk in any direction, as are the many fine restaurants and bars. There are many quality restaurants in town, though they are hard to distinguish based on appearance alone, so don’t be shy, ask Irene at reception for suggestions and recommendations, Irene steered us toward many great choices where we may otherwise have made a bad choice. As for the room, there are the usual and expected appliances, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, a kettle with instant coffee or tea, plus a coffee machine with coffee pods. There’s a fridge to keep your drinks chilled, with milk for the coffee and complementary white wine and orange juice. The AC keeps the room at a comfortable temperature and the shower has as many water jet options as you could possibly want. The TV in the room offers many international choices and streaming services. Through the night, no noise is heard above the sound of the AC, the blinds on the window keep out the heat of the day and the shades fully block the light, so you won’t be woken by the sunlight. The nearest supermarket is 3-5 minutes walk away, or if you simply looking for cold drink, a gift shop is adjacent to the entrance with a well stocked selection of cold drinks. On a personal note, I’d very much like to thank Irene for her recommendations and help, as mentioned above, her guidance, knowledge & humour made for a very easy and chilled week.

Irene, Nick and their team were outstanding. It truly was a superb boutique hotel. They arrange for transport and massage treatments for us. The property was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and served in a quiet, atmospheric courtyard. Nice way to wake up and greet the day. Great restaurant recommendations from Irene. The hotel is perfectly situated to access everything you want to visit in the old town. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks Irene and Nick. You were exceptional hosts. Sandy & Carol

We didn't stay here but just stumbled across it through the little alleyways. It's one street back from all the hustle and bustle. Irene? And her colleague were very friendly. We ate and drank here on 3 different occasions. It wasn't the cheapest but we loved the food and drinks and it was so peaceful in the courtyard. Apart from the tourists walking by, you couldn't hear a thing apart from the planes flying over now and again. We will definitely go back if we go back to stunning Rhodes Town.

Ancient Knights is located in Old Town Rhodes. It is a new hotel and overcoming a few teething issues with room information and smoke alarms etc. I am sure these have now been settled. The rooms are great, well styled and appointed, huge bathrooms and a really good breakfast served to the table.

Such a great setting in the centre of historic Rhodes old town. Beautiful, atmospheric rooms and stellar bathrooms! Just off the main shopping street in a quiet, stone built ancient building, recently converted. Nick and Irene most helpful.

The name of the hotel may sound a bit like some history theme park, but it isn't at all. We had a super comfortable and tastefully designed room, and it was silent, even though the hotel is located on a small street right in the center of the historic old town. It is minutes away from a wide variety of musuems, historic palaces, restaurants and shops. Our bathroom was also quite large. The rooms come with fridges and an introductory wine bottle. There's an internal courtyard where you can chill during the day, or have breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was a reasonably good deal but just for variety we went out to local cafes the following two mornings. The staff were friendly and super helpful in suggesting restaurants, booking a ride to the airport, and getting us a rental car for a day. I rreally had no complaint except for maybe the wi-fi was a bit slow, but that's common everywhere we stayed in Greece (though not in restaurants and bars). Two points I'd make: this is a small boutique hotel and the front desk is not always staffed. It was zero problem for us, but some people may not like that. (They give you a key so you can come and go). And the old town is pedestrian. There are electric golf carts that the hotel can contact to take your bags, and a small number of taxis can enter the old town and get within 50 meters of the hotel. But I'd advise packing light. A final point: stay in the old town. The big beach hotels in Rhodes are a nightmare of mass tourism, but the old town is a delight (apart from the main shopping street).

The service does match the stay. We were super excited for this stay, as the room was so nice, however, a damper was put on the stay because of the total disregard of care for customers (and a stray hair in the Jacuzzi). The smoke detector startled me awake at midnight and continued to loudly beep every 30 secs for the rest of the night. My boyfriend emailed the contact at that time to inform them, as there's no reception available in the evening. The beeping kept me awake all night, however, this isn't an issue according to the hotel managers (there's a woman, man and a younger guy who worked there). The woman laughed it off - saying "everything happens at night, not during the day" and asked why we didn't have earplugs. She allowed us to store our luggage in the reception area after we checked out, and just asked that we pick it up by 5pm. My boyfriend asked for compensation for the inconvenience for the lack of an entire night's sleep, and she hesitantly said she'd have to ask. We returned at 4pm to pick up our luggage and it was the younger guy working (Nick Jr perhaps?). We asked about the compensation (which he told us he didn't know about, so he called someone). After getting off the phone he told us they charge for storing the luggage after check out (the lady didn't tell us that at all, so I call B.S), so that's our compensation (worth 15 euros) for a 200 euro+ room. He also said what happened wasn't considered a problem, because it wasn't a physical problem with the room. Apparently they don't think going a night without sleeping is an issue. I told the guy nobody had even taken the time to reply to my boyfriend's email notifying them of the issue (by this time, at 4pm, they should've responded with some type of customer service, stating they apologize for the inconvenience, at the very least!), and his retort was that nobody is up at that time (wait...we WERE! Because of their alarm, which we couldn't access in our 2 storey room). Still- someone should've replied when they checked the email. He then took the business card on the desk and told us we should've called the emergency number. I didn't even know there was an emergency number! I told him nobody informed us there was an emergency number or what to do in the event we needed to contact reception when they had left for the night. Was I supposed to stumble down the steep, dark steps at night to search the main desk for a business card? Huge lack on their part, but this young guy was on a mission to be "right" or win... his immaturity and arrogance shone through. There was absolutely no desire for him to show any care, customer service, or apologize for our major disruption, and frankly, I would've preferred to stay at our previous accommodation (Hotel Attiki) where the customer service was EXCEPTIONAL!

We have returned from a trip to Rhodes and had 1 night stay at Ancient Knights Luxury Suites If there was a 10 star rating I would have given this score The boutique hotel is amazing We stayed in the black prince suite which was absolutely wonderful the room was immaculately clean with all the facilities you could require There was a lovely complimentary package of drinks The linens and towels are pure luxury quality, bath robes and slippers were left in the room for our use, and the mattress was very comfortable I cannot express how good the suite was Upon our arrival we was greeted by Irene who is a wonderful welcoming lady who could not do enough to make you feel welcome The breakfast is a set menu of 3 choices with plenty of options which cover's all tastes and dietary requirements, and they are freshly made to order and are delicious made using fine products. If you are looking for high quality accommodation to stay in Rhodes I would highly recommend Ancient Knights Luxury Suites you will not be disappointed. Irene, Nick and your team thank you for a wonderful stay it has left us with a very memorable moment on our visit to Rhodes. We will be back again in the future.
