We stayed at Olympic Palace for 7 nights all-inclusive as a young couple (ages 19–21), and overall, we had a really lovely experience. 🛏️ Room When we first arrived, we were given the wrong room — we had booked a double room with a sea view, but received a family sea view room instead. Technically, it was a free upgrade, as the room was very spacious and essentially split into two areas with separate TVs and sliding doors. However, it meant having two single beds pushed together rather than one double, which we initially weren’t keen on. We asked about changing rooms when we were given our room but were told to come back down the next morning (we arrived late at night), but ended up deciding to stay in the room after all. Even so, the staff followed up without us saying anything and kindly offered to place a mattress topper on the beds to make it feel like a proper double — which we really appreciated. The bed itself was incredibly comfortable — even without the topper on the first night. Room cleanliness was great overall, though the floor could’ve used a sweep or hoover when we first arrived. All amenities worked perfectly. We only used one of the two TVs (it didn’t have Netflix but did have YouTube, which we connected to via phone). The air con wasn’t digitally adjustable but kept the room cool without issue. The balcony was amazing, we had a second-floor sea view with two loungers, four chairs, and a table, and still enjoyed a gorgeous view. 🍽️ Food The food overall was decent. The Elea main restaurant offers buffet-style meals. Breakfast was basic and didn’t change much during our stay, though it was satisfying. The eggs were a bit runny for my taste, but that’s down to personal preference. Lunch offered a good variety — pasta, burgers, chicken, pizza, salads, and traditional Greek options. The only consistent letdown was the burgers, which were unfortunately dry and stale whenever I tried them. Dinner was nice, though the dessert options could’ve been more varied. A few nights featured themed desserts like coffee-flavoured desserts so would have been good for more options to be available. However other nights offered some nice options such as churros and tasty treats The snack bar next to the pool served similar items to the main buffet, along with cakes, cookies, ice cream, and salads which is convenient if you’re by the pooo As part of our stay, we were offered two à la carte meals. We chose the Italian and Mexican restaurants, and both were absolutely fantastic. The food, atmosphere, and service truly felt five-star. Staff treated us incredibly well and we felt genuinely special. 🍹 Drinks & Entertainment There are four bars across the hotel — a lounge bar in reception, the Champagne Bar, the rooftop bar, and the pool bar. We only used the rooftop bar, and it was a no-brainer as the view, especially at sunset was stunning and we will definitely miss coming here most nights. There’s a wide variety of all-inclusive cocktails
