Blue Horizon Hotel

This is the 1st time i have been to Rhodes and i have to say the whole experience was impeccable...our room on the 3rd floor 309 was so clean...the bed was really comfy...everything you need...toiletries supplied...cleaned every day..lovely crisp clean bedding and pillows...we sunbathed on the sunbeds on the beach that had the padding on as they were higher to get up from as i am somewhat curvy 🤭....we were hb...the food was 1st class...great quality and the evening food was so varied and well cooked...it really has been the best hotel and location i have been to...the staff were so friendly and polite and nothing too much trouble....would defo come back here again...one last thing...the hotel is very central to lovely bars..restaurants and shops...the weather was perfect too...the icing on the cake😊

Have been in Blue Horizon Hotel already 5 times since 2018 and hope to visit again in near future. High level service made by dedicated personnel, great food, well maintained garden with lawn and palms next to beach, clean interiors and outdoor, interesting animations. Building as such is not brand new, but kept well and gradually renovated. Next to hotel high level windsurf Procenter with quality equipment for rental and good service. Conditions on the water for intermediates with solid wind statistics. Over the years could observe the hotel personnel is not rotating and never complain the hotel management. Blue Horizon is located in Ialysos village with nice restaurants and shops everywhere, so there is chance for entertainment in the evening. 10 minutes by car from the airport and another 15 minutes by taxi to Rodos old town.

This hotel was certainly one of the best I've ever stayed in. Rooms were cleaned to a very high standard with fresh towels and bedding daily. The food was great (we were only bed & breakfast) but there was such a good choice and all the staff are so warm and friendly. Lefteri the waiter made us feel very welcome from the start and came and spoke to us every morning. He has worked at the hotel for 36 years which speaks volumes for me. During our stay it was my birthday. I opened my cards in the morning and put them on the dresser. When I returned to the room later that day there was a card and a bottle of wine left for me from the cleaners, Entelo & Bona which I thought was a lovely touch. Thank you ladies! The pool area was also immaculately clean and there was never a problem getting a sunbed. If you couldn't get one right next to the pool there were always plenty available on the grass. The sports facilities were fantastic too and kept my 13 year old son occupied. He would look forward to the water polo, darts and beach volleyball. I joined in with the aqua aerobics which was so much fun and even treated myself to a massage. Ben, head of entertainment took most of the activities and made my son's holiday. He's a great guy who absolutely loves his job and is a huge asset to the hotel. The majority of guests I would say were Dutch who were really lovely to us, spoke perfect English and would invite my son to play volley ball with them in the pool. There were also a few Germans who were fine but a bit more reserved and a few English who would always stop and chat. Not one person I spoke to had a complaint about the hotel or staff. The bar area gets quite busy at lunchtime but it didn't take long to be served and there were always tables available. The gyros was definitely a hit with my son and my husband and I had a salad every day for a healthy option. I tried every salad on the menu and they were all delicious. Andreas from the bar was so kind. A young uni student who wanted to improve his English. He served our food and always made a point of asking if we were having a nice holiday and made lovely polite conversation with us. The beach was very beautiful but a bit windy on occasions for me and the sea looked a bit rough. There were always people swimming and it was nice to watch the windsurfers. The sunbeds on the beach were 4 euros a day. You can also see Turkey from the beach which is apparently only 11 miles away. In the evenings we ate out and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We opted for Greek food most evenings which was amazing but noticed a few Italian restaurants and the occasional sports bar which served mainly fast food. All in all we never had a bad meal and the Greeks are so hospitable and kind and can't do enough for you. We didn't catch much of the evening entertainment apart from the Greek dancing where the guests participated. Had we known we would have returned earlier to join in. It looked like great fun. Th

Stayed for 2 wks the hotel is spotless infact it shines its that clean was in room 217 sea view and pool view. simone our cleaner ,loved her service with a smile .the food was great didn't eat out once .the waiters christoss kostas and the manager vasilis were amazing couldn't do enough for us. The pool bar staff were exactly the same . 2 mins to beach ,10mins walk to old town ,great location .would highly recommend and would definitely go back .

Good experience, pool and bar was really nice. Room was large and clean. All I would say is that it is a little bit outdated but you get what you pay for. Really nice location too Big thanks to the lady at reception who helped me repair my broken case
