So, where to start. This is our first time to Rhodes, Kiotari. The swim up pool we had was the most amazing experience of the holiday. I would highly recommend a room with a swim up pool. I requested two rooms next door to each other so it would make it easier for both parties, however, after sending numerous emails and messages over the past year, I was disappointed to hear at check-in that the rooms were not next door to each other. This was an easy request for the hotel to accommodate, however this was not done, most disappointing. The room was ok, nice and big, however, not very clean, and also, the jacuzzi on our terrace did not work. The main restaurant, the Belvedere felt like you was in a school canteen. The food was very bland. You are able to book three restaurants when you are at the resort which are a bit more classy. We managed to eat at the fish, Asian and grill restaurant. The food in those places were a lot nicer than the main restaurant, and a lot less busy, however, you have to be extremely lucky to get the three restaurants as they seem to be fully booked. The slide area was a bit disappointing, it was over crowded and only one of the slides was fun for my 13 year old. The beach area is lovely, however, the shingles are extremely difficult to walk on. We only managed one trip out where we got a bus straight outside the hotel to Lindos Town, the bus journey was nice, especially as the bus had air con. After visiting the town which was amazing, we ended up down the bottom at the beach. Now that beach was lovely, white sand, warm sea, nice restaurants, however you do not want to make the trip back up to the top to get the bus back as it would be hard work, especially in the heat. We ended up getting a boat straight to our hotel, it did take longer by boat, however it was an amazing experience. So all in all, I don’t believe it to be a 5 star hotel unfortunately.
