Sunlight Studios

My daughter and I, have just stayed at Sunlight Studios for 7 nights and it was a fab stay. The hotel is ran by a lovely family, who were very friendly and helpful. The pool area is lovely and well maintained. Food was fab especially the Greek night. The hotel is a little out the way but with good public transport links it’s easy to see other resorts and towns, and Restaurants are within walking distance. Overall our stay was fantastic and relaxing just what we wanted! Thanks to all the staff and guests for making our stay so enjoyable.

This is an honest review that balances expectation alongside the cost of this hotel. We are regular visitors to all parts of Greece and know that you get what you pay for and in that respect I would recommend Sunlight as a good place to stay. There are lots of positives which others have spoken about such as the owners and the barman who are helpful and friendly. The area around the pool and snack bar are clean and well kept. The food and drink is basic but tasty and good value. The room we had was on the ground floor and the bed was comfortable. We did have to ask for some replacement/extra pillows as only one each was provided and they were lumpy. The bathroom looked re-furbished and the shower was very powerful with hot water all the time. The resort itself has two particular areas to visit go left and right along the main street to access restaurants at about 1km all excellent. Also go to sunset beach to a place with free sunbeds and a snack bar to watch the kite surfers. If you go right out of the studios and up to the village you will come across two excellent restaurants. So why not the full five stars? A couple of things really that are important to us. The wi-fi does not stretch to the rooms and so with no TV you will need your phone to be able to access home and general info via your data. Even around the pool it can be patchy. But the biggest issue was the cleaning of the room. We were there for a week from Saturday and the towels were changed only once and so were the bins. This included the toilet which as you all know will contain soiled paper due to being unable to flush. We had to ask them to change it on Friday as we couldn't wait any longer. But apart from this all was good and if you like a quiet place to relaxed it is ideal.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like old friends. Costas, Irene and Team were excellent. The hotel is quiet and clean with all the amenities you would expect. Food was good and service excellent. My mother and I would love to visit this hotel again. Thank you to Costas and Irene and their wonderful Team.

What a lovely, welcoming, family run hotel, the staff couldn't do enough for you, nice clean rooms and pool area, had a beautiful 9 days here, did some travelling to Rhodes old town and other restaurants and bars nearby, went at the start of the season, so a few places not open or quiet, beach not far, met some lovely people at the hotel, excellent for solo travellers and families alike, bar stayed open till very late, karaoke on Fridays, Greek night on Tuesday (which I paid for but missed (fell asleep!) and was refunded), fair prices, nice food, all in all a lovely time.

If you want somewhere basic then this is ok. The owners and family are extremely friendly and kind but we felt that if we had not hired a car we would have gone mad. The ‘beach’ isn’t a beach. Dirty and stony with windy conditions that meant it wasn’t appropriate. We found ourselves driving to different beaches to enjoy ourselves. The room is basic and our mattress was hard. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough so we were mopping the floor each time we showered.(It was like a scene from Faulty Towers doing that). The pool is small and clean and sun-beds are plentiful. We found the ages of guests older than us and the ‘Groovy Gang’ just drunk wine etc all day. No local bars or restaurants so a bit of a walk to get to a couple of decent ones. We did eat at Sunlight on our first night and then on Greek Night. The food was perfectly and freshly cooked. A mixed review, so depending on what you’re looking for on a holiday.

Sunlight is the most loveliest place run by a beautiful caring family who will do anything for you. I was made so welcome when I arrived and throughout my stay. Beautiful pool area. Lovely room. Fantastic meals prepared by lovely Rita. Kostas, Irene, Loukas, Rita, Julietta and the rest of the family - thank you so much!

Fantastic chilled holiday. Lovely room. Well run family business. Food is fab. Home from home and so welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Greek night and karaoke night are a must to attend. We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

This place has so much heart! The warmth of welcome is incredible. I cannot recommend Sunlight Studios enough. And Andrei is the best bar tender you could wish for. If you want a taste of the Greek dream, this is the place to go. You will want to go back instantly.

My wife and I recently stayed at Sunlight Studios for 7 nights. It is a family run business with typical Greek friendliness. The room was very clean and spacious and we found it perfect for a quiet relaxed holiday. The pool/bar area has everything you need for chilling out and soaking up some sunshine.
