Kolymbia Bay Art Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

TLDR: Too expensive for the price. Room was old and dated with a very old AC unit Pros: - Friendly staff - Excellent buffet breakfast - Food at restaurant was tasty Cons: - Room was old and dated - Very hot room as A/C was rubbish. Had to ask for an additional fan - Spa hours were shorter than advertised - it closed at 1.30pm, not 22:00 - Construction noise from next door building site - Photos on website didn’t look like reality - dirty room (stained sheets, old towels, dirt laced around plug hole) - no WiFi in rooms - only available in reception - Limited sunbeds around the pool

We have had the most wonderful 10 days at the adults only Kolympia Bay Art Boutique Hotel. It is a small hotel and has a very chilled out vibe . Customers are mainly young adults or older adults (50's and 60's) Good mix of nationalities. We stayed in a comfort room and it was! The bed was lovely. Good sized balcony with clothes drier which was very handy. There was also an iron and ironing board. All the staff without exception were brilliant (breakfast staff, cleaners, evening waiters, pool bar waitresses, reception). They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided was extensive in variety and all very fresh. We are in the Bay Restaurant twice for our evening meal and the food was delicious. Very good portion sizes! The pool area was very nice with plenty of very comfortable loungers. Decent sized pool as well. Pool bar served drinks and bar food all day. Supermarket next door where you can buy anything from water, inflatables, sunscreen, food etc. Bus stop outside hotel. Beach is a short walk away. This hotel is in a great location. 10 - 15 min walk into Kolympia town where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, the food and the staff really make it. This is the best breakfast that I’ve had at a hotel abroad, there’s a buffet offering a bit of everything and it was all really good. You’re also offered 2 additional special options every day. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The area itself is quieter but personal preference, we preferred that. We hired a car and you’re roughly 30 mins from both the old town and Lindos if you stay here. Pool area is nice and the sunbeds are comfy, we stayed mid July and there was no race for a sunbed like there is at a lot of hotels😂 There was a DJ round the pool area mid day which we enjoyed. The only negatives are the beds in the rooms aren’t comfy and the sea view is sadly blocked by a hotel being built across the road. You can’t hear the building work when you’re sat around the pool, only when in the room but I guess that’s not this hotel’s fault🤷‍♀️ Overall really nice hotel, we would stay here again😊

We had the best time at this hotel. We absolutely love it there, the staff, especially the beautiful Litsa are all fantastic and so helpful. Rooms are specious and clean. Pool area is great, especially with the dj from 1pm everyday. The breakfast was fantastic with a different special on offer every morning. The hotel restaurant , in the evening, was fantastic, food cooked beautifully and extensive menu. Pool bar, brilliant again. We loved it so much we are going 8 weeks. Highly recommend.

Where do I begin… The level of disappointment cannot be understated. Complaints; - Multiple dirty sheets - Management unwilling to help change dirty sheets (originally asked us to change the sheets ourselves) - Dirty underwear from previous guests found in room (I wish I was exaggerating) - Pool inaccessible unless in certain rooms, this wasn’t made clear when booking - Secondary community pool seen in pictures on website not in service - Could not engage in breakfast due to hygiene concerns following discovery of the above - Pictures on the easy jet website did not match the hotel at all - “Sea view” room was booked, the result was a view of a building site of a hotel that blocked the ocean - Bathroom flooding after every shower, dirty water would resurface through a drain on the floor - Mould and mildew in the bathroom - Cracked glass on balcony - Very worn out and crumbling balcony chairs - Strong smell of ?fertiliser around the hotel Quite frankly, I have to question the legitimacy of the previous reviews of this hotel seen on this website. I have never in all my years of travelling encountered such a stark disparity between what was advertised and the reality faced. I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could. Speaking of stars, in what world is this a 4 star hotel? It’s not even close. Feel free to take heed of this review and book elsewhere or you can take a risk and hope the hotel has magically improved. Have already opened up compensatory talks with EasyJet. I will attach pictures of the hotel and you can compare it to what is advertised.
