Kolymbia Bay Art Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

Before I rip into this hotel I would like to note how lovely and helpful the staff are, that being said I’m very disappointed with my experience here. I have only left one review before but I felt it was important to review this hotel. I will do a pros and cons list of this hotel with a detailed review below: Pros: • very kind and helpful staff •nice communal pool •good public transport located just outside the hotel •good location Cons: •not clean •quite noisy as room is basically right on the street •pool is dirty/ broken •bathroom is extremely outdated and is very grimy (shower, tiles, towel holder, shower sprays all over the floor, ect) •the shower doesn’t get very warm and when it does it’s for a split second then back to cold water •cockroaches in bathroom I had changed my room as the one I was originally in was not like the pictures and was by the bins, and both rooms were very similar in the fact they were both outdated and felt unclean. I had payed for a swim up suit but was unfortunately not able to use the pool as it was filthy, I was the last room on the row and the jets on my area were broken (as well as the water features) so there was no movement of the water and not only was there lots of dirt at the bottom of the pool but the leaves and general dirt stayed on the surface. The sun beds were very dirty and not well maintained, the rooms had lots of cobwebs on the ceilings and walls, and in general I couldn’t feel very clean whilst being here as the bathrooms felt grimy and actually saw a few cockroaches in my bathroom whilst staying here. I would not recommend staying here as the price does not reflect on the quality.

I needed a break away - solo traveller - in comfy surroundings with friendly staff, good food, pool, beach nearby … restaurants in easy walking distance and some good relaxation with a decent massage. I wanted a sea view - ideally to be able to watch sunrise from my terrace and a nice terrace to read my book on when I wanted. Oh and air conditioned… And with a great breakfast choice … And a restaurant that serves fresh food to a high standard and super delicious. This hotel met all my needs and more … loved it - thank you 🙏

Stayed here for 4nights with my friend. First thoughts, the ataff were super lovely, the hotel looked great and modern and the room was better than we expected. We stayed in one of the swim up rooms. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. Room cleaned on a daily basis. The best part of the room was the lovely outdoor space. We has a swim up room. It was stunning, peaceful and comfortable. We had sun from around 8.30am im the morning till 3pm in the afternoon. If you like your privacy though maybe not the room for you. The swim up rooms are located at the front of the hotel so people walking past on the path can see all the swim up rooms especially when your sun bathing. This didnt bother me and my friend though. The staff were super friendly, helped with booking excursions. They alsp let us atay im our room on last day till 4pm for a small extra charge of 40 euros as we hadca reaply late flight. We had breakfast included in our package. There was a good variety to choose from, hot & cold. We had dinner on our first night of arrival. Prices very reasonable and very tasty. The hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk to where main shops and restaurants are. Not many restaurants and shops in the area but we didnt mind as was only there for 4nights. Overall i would rate the hotel and whole experience 9/10. Thank you for a lovely stay

Love it ❤️ This boutique hotel is worthy of 5 stars. Ok it’s a small hotel but it’s big on hospitality. We love this hotel for the following reasons 1. Staff 2. Breakfast 3.location 4.comfy rooms I have stayed in many big hotels and you are treated like a number . But the staff here are No1 . Thank you Dimitra manoulis Sonia and aftelos and the girls that cleaned our rooms . We were only here for 5 nights but it’s like we know you all as friends . I came last year with my daughter and returned this year with my husband The walk to town is great for us which means we can walk off the Greek meals . Bud stop just outside the hotel for Rhodes town and Lindos . We went to Tsmabki beach which is a lovely sandy beach with water sports and bars . We are already looking to book to come back next year. The weather is fantastic in September . Thank you Manoulis for recommending this month . It was around 28c which suited us for sure 👌❤️🙏

This is a nice hotel, quite near the sea although you will only see it from the top floors. We are in a swim up Junior Suite, this has a Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle, a small fridge which can hold a couple of bottles of wine / milk etc, a sofa and coffee table, a large tv and a walk in shower. There is a free safe, an iron and ironing board, which is handy. Outside are two chairs, another table, a bench seat built into the wall and a clothes horse. Finally you have the two sun beds on a raised platform by the pool. Breakfast is excellent - a daily special is offered, plus normal selection of buffet stuff like bacon and eggs, yogurt, cereal, toast etc. Really can’t complain about breakfast at all, evening meals are good too but nothing special. However, it is handy to have a restaurant on site as the walk into town is about 15 - 20 minutes, albeit on well lit streets. However, the cleaning of the apartments / rooms is not good, the outdoor terrace is simply filthy with old hair (!) and sand / dirt evident. We turned up to find an empty water bottle on the patio and a half full bottle of suntan lotion under the sunbed. Out of interest we left them - 5 days later they are still there. We finally worked out that, to get fresh towels, you put your old ones in a laundry basket (no instructions for this) and so we chucked them in. They disappeared but no new towels left, we had to go and raid the stock cupboard at 7pm to have our shower! There is entertainment most nights and some of it is very good, drinks are typical hotel prices but the staff in the bar are great fun. As there are so few bars around the hotel, it is again nice to have one ‘on site’. All in all a good hotel, I think 4* is pushing the boundaries but pleasant enough. They just need to up their game on the cleaning as it really is not pleasant. My wife is going ti ask if they have a mop so she can clean it herself!
