Electra Palace Rhodes - Premium All Inclusive

We arrived at the Electra palace, check in was smooth and the receptionist was friendly and informative. Our room was bright and spotless however it lacked storage space ( missing shelf from the wardrobe) we did say to reception and it was fixed the following day, not what you’d expect from a 5 * hotel. Our bed was comfortable with a mixture of pillows available, we had clean towels every day and pool towels were available in the room. The hotel is spotless, this includes round the pool and pool toilets. The pool area is fantastic, sunbeds are plentiful. The standard of food was very good, definitely something for everyone available. ******* The hotel charge 80 euros to keep your room for a late checkout, at no point were we advised there is a courtesy room available for 20 minutes. There was also an issue for Jet2 guests where all inclusive ceased at 12pm on departure day, after a few complaints through the rep, the time was extended to 7pm. It was very difficult to get a soft drink in a large glass at the pool bar, When I asked why the lady asked “do you want it or not” it makes no sense Angelena and the older gentleman were both very good, There was a lady with a hoodie on who stood behind the bar everyday with her phone in her hand, regardless of how busy it is, she doesn’t help the bar staff. The manager can be seen walking round the hotel, but doesn’t acknowledge you in any way, this rubs off on some of the staff too! In our view the hotel is not 5* but a decent 4*

After a perfect holiday at the Electra Palace last year in August, we could not resist going back and seeing what they have done renovations wise. It did not disappoint, even better! The pool, pool bar, and entrainment were brilliant and massively improved, I really enjoyed the 60'/70's rock and toll band, please keto them gor next year!. The food, especially the Greek restaurant, was great. Big shout out to Anglina and Billy at the pool bar, who were great and nice to the children, who kept on asking for ice cubes. The new rooms were fab, double balcony great inside, and now if you want to chill, you can cast Netflicks for the kids. Look forward yo seeing what yhere might do this close season. We shall be back next October. My daughter says it'd her happy place this hotel, enough said. It was great you could ha e a toom for 40 minutes in the evening yo freshen up and shower before the flights back home. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for more great memories.

Fantastic hotel with a lovely pool and spa.food excellent. Service is really friendly and efficient. Rooms overlooking the pool are great during the day but noisy at night with live music. Spa offer good services at good prices. Nicole gave a really relaxing massage - just right on the only rainy day. There are plenty of beds, so no fights in the morning. Nice breeze most days in this region means the temperature is moderated a bit

Wonderful hotel, very good restaurant with kind stuff. The food was delicious, and the bar was awesome with a very good band (guitar-piano). Although it has a pool, the beach is like 20 meters from the hotel. Very good experience overall. I recommend it to anyone!

We have just returned from an amazing holiday at The Electra Palace. We spent 7 days here and there is so much to keep you entertained. The pool area is just fantastic. Very beautiful and has every kind of bed you could need for a relaxing day poolside. The beach is equally as relaxing with plenty of beds, shingly but stunning. The food was very good. Everyone would be able to find something they enjoy at the buffet. It's all cooked freshed and replenished regularly during breakfast, lunch and dinner services. The only thing I would say is that drinks come in small glasses and hot drink mugs have no handles which make the mug hard to hold with hot coffee in. We ate at the Italian restaurant which was a nice change from the self serve buffet. Cocktails are great and made fresh for you every time, this does create abit if a wait at the bars but you could order 2 at a time saves queuing again. The ice cream parlour was a very welcome treat in the afternoon. Evening entertainment was just great! We found ourselves up dancing most nights. The disco on out final night was just the perfect send off! Hats off to the entertainment team. Each night was different and if it wasn't for you then there other bars that were quieter that you can sit in. The lady that works in the gift shop was lovely when we made some souvenir purchases on our last day! There is also a small shop opposite which also caters for lots of things you may need except fresh milk. You can't seem to get that at the hotel, but a short walk along the beach you will find supermarkets. The island itself was beautiful and day trips are easily organised with reception. Overall a very good stay and we will definately be back.

This is likely to be a lengthy review but if you like branded non alcoholic drinks read to the end. My husband and I have just returned from a 12 night stay at the Electra Palace, where we met up with my sister and her husband , they had been on two previous occasions (before the refurb) and highly recommended it. Firstly I will start with the positives, the hotel is lovely as are the rooms, we had a superior sea view room and the location right next to the sea is beautiful. We tended to sunbath on the decking by the sea and there was never a problem getting a sunbed even at 11am. The staff on the whole were friendly if not too many of them, nearly all the bars were managed by only one bar member, shout out to Billy in the Jazz bar, which according to my sister used to have 2 staff behind the bar and 2 serving guests, everything is self service now. We had 4 issues with our room in our 12 days, 1st one was we had an over the bath shower and the water was running extremely slowly so was up to my knees by the end of the shower, then the plug in the sink would not come out to release the water, then the safe decided not to open, then the control on the door to indicate if you require your room to be cleaned stopped working, however when we reported these the Maintenance person came to sort the issues out almost immediately. Now the negatives, the staff don't seem to talk to each other for example when we asked at Reception how we get clean beach towels we were told to leave them on the floor in the bathroom, which we did, when we came back the cleaner had left them there, we spoke to her and she said you have to get them from Reception, we went to Reception who told us we needed to get them off the cleaner. The buffet was okay although repetitive but the food was hot, however whatever drink you had was served in very small glasses and if you wanted a hot drink you had a mug with no handle so don't fill it to the top. We decided to try the Italian Al a Carte what a disappoin**ent that was, we were 4 adults and asked for a bottle of wine, which we were told we couldn't have instead got served in the same small glasses. I had the lasagna which was a square with nothing else on the plate and luke warm, the dessert was 3 flavours of Tiramisu not much good if like me you hate coffee. We gave the Italian another try but at lunch time and to be honest the lunchtime menu was a lot better and the dessert was a cheesecake not sure why couldn't be offered that in the evening as an alternative to Tiramisu. Like other reviewers, in a 5 star hotel I expect glass wine glasses not stupid little glass mini tumblers or if you dare to go outside they want you to have your drink in a paper cup, this includes hot drinks even though you are going no where near the pool area, sorry but I don't pay the price of this hotel to drink out of a paper cup at my age. Stayed at the Electra Palace from 7-14th May and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent in particular the A La Carte restaurants my favourite was the Italian. The staff were all very efficient helpful and pleasant. In particular Jordan on reception and Billy on the bar as well as the young man on the beach bar. They all work very hard though it was obvious they were short staffed on the two bars that were open in the evening but staff appeared to be supportive of each other. Obviously it’s the start of the season and was possibly difficult to gauge how busy they were going to be. The hotel is beautiful and very modern as well as spotlessly clean. I would definitely consider returning to this hotel and it’s a bonus that it’s only 10 minutes from the airport.

Visited in the beginning of May. The hotel is clean everywhere, lots of variety at the main restaurant. Scenic beach views a lot of available sunbeds every morning. The entertainment team were brilliant, Despina and Vlad always have a smile on their face and are always there to invite guests to take part in various daily activities. A relaxing, perfect week's rest.
