Gennadi Grand Resort

We loved this hotel and would come back for sure!!!!

As a family of four (kids aged 13 and 9) we truly loved our 9 night stay at Gennadi Grand Resort in August, rating it as one of the best resorts we’ve been to. The staff were lovely and engaging, food delicious and a good selection on offer through out the day. Our room, a two bedroom suite with pool, was spacious, clean and relaxing and we had no significant issue with noise despite being centrally located. The activities were fun, varied and good quality and catered for all our needs (tennis, table tennis, different yoga sessions, small gym, darts, aqua tabata, waterpolo, boat hire, astronomy night and gaming nights for the kids). The general vibe was chilled, chic, easy going and calm. Pool and beach areas were comfortable and well maintained and you could find a space at poolside or at the beach at anytime of the day. The surrounding area offered beautiful hillside and sea views and sunrise was stunning. It was a hot but easy walk to Gennadi, where there was a good selection of bars and restaurants (Kourkoutavlos offered great pre dinner drinks and Mama’s Kitchen served delicious Greek dishes). We also hired a car to explore the more untouched southern part of the island. Negatives would be the use of single use plastic, questionable recycling and lack of water refill stations. Also the resorts sun lounger policy wasn’t adhered to, which encouraged guests to refrain from occupying a sun lounger before 10am and not leave items on loungers unattended for more than 30 minutes. This meant reserving sun loungers by the main pool early. We didn’t have any hassle in relation to this as we were pretty fluid about where we based ourselves at the resort but it has the potential to cause frustration. If I had the opportunity to stay here again I wouldn’t hesitate and I’m keen to look into alternative Lindos resorts. Thank you for a great holiday.

Gennadi Grand Resort fully met all our expectations. This hotel is perfect for couples looking for a peaceful, secluded holiday. It’s also suitable for families with toddlers or with older teenagers. The entire setup of the hotel encourages a slow-paced, relaxing stay — ideal for those who are tired of the hustle and bustle and want to enjoy great service, delicious food, and wonderful weather. The staff are excellent and truly focused on making your stay comfortable! The photos on Booking accurately reflect reality — what you see is what you get. You won’t find loud discos here; instead, in the evenings, there is live music that creates a calm, pleasant atmosphere. The beds are very comfortable, and the shower has excellent water pressure. Overall, the price matches the quality — highly recommended!

We have just returned from a week at Gennadi Grande resort in Rhodes Greece and we had the most amazing holiday and was met by 5 star service and Greek hospitality at its best. We had 2 swim up suites and the amenities within the suites were impressive to say the least. To include coffee machine, fluffy bathrobes and towels and the beds were very comfortable. The resort is spotless and the staff in every department go above and beyond to make your holiday as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. The catering staff and bar staff I have to say were fabulous and each day they would welcome us at breakfast and the extra touches of knowing what our preferences were went along way. The bar staff and waiting on staff around the pool area were very attentive and again the service was 5 star. ⭐️ It’s very evident that all staff are trained to an high standard and appreciate that people want to relax and kick back. We had the best holiday, a big thank you to all the staff for making our holiday special and for being attentive, kind and welcoming. We will definitely return to this beautiful resort.

So the hotel is lovely. Great rooms, comfy beds, clean and spacious - we had one with a pool which we loved. Although all rooms have different shade times so be careful if you want sun all day. The breakfast is good and so are the cocktails. Sunbed service is easy to use, we ordered chips and wraps. Only negatives- you are stuck at the hotel unless you have a car, taxi’s can be very hit and miss especially on a Friday or Saturday night. We had a car for 6 days out of 10 which was great but I think we’d have had an issue if we could get out and about on a night. There is a bus that goes to Gennadi town up the road and that’s useful as there’s about 5 restaurants to choose from if you dont have a car and get bored of the hotel food. Only other negative is the beach isn’t nice. No sand, just pebbles and nothing to do for miles.

This was our third time visiting Gennadi Grand Resort, and once again everything was truly exceptional. The hotel is a genuine five-star destination: beautiful rooms, excellent food, and outstanding service. This hotel, always feels like a place we want to return to without ever getting bored. A heartfelt thank you goes to Mr. Panagiotis Pityropoulos, F&B Director, whose hospitality and professionalism make every time our stay even more memorable. Both the hotel and Mr. Pityropoulos are true gems. We also had this year the chance to experience the fine dining restaurant Edesma, after hearing so many great reviews, and it truly is another jewel of the resort. Congratulations to the chef for his outstanding creations.
