I travel a lot and usually dont care about the exterior of the Hotels but the inside and staff is important. Worker at the desk was very polite and skilled when i checked in. When i entered the room... abt 300 Euro a night! To say its old to say nothing - like in the old good USSR times in Moscow, Sankt Petersburg, DDR side of Berlin! 40 years ago, what a nostalgic feeling, smell of old carpet, never cleaned AC. First evening at the Restaurant i choose Wiener Schnitzel with salad and French fries 🍟. Asked in the morning if they do laundry the answer was - no, but whae i asked again at the desk in an hotel for 300 Euro a night the lady called someone and repeated what he heard on the other side of the line - laundry is the responsibility of the guests. Means do your self At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! Finally me and the lady on the desk figured out that the hotel does outsource the laundry to a third party company. The room is small, the suitcase is a bit difficult to open, there is no kettle in the room, you need to go to the front desk to borrow it. It belongs to the domestic seven-day standard. We stay at this hotel every time we come to visit friends who live near Basel Switzerland. We have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean, the staff is friendly and they all speak English ( a big plus for us as our German is not very good). They even have an English menu! The best part is the hotel is in a very quiet part of town and the price is about one quarter of the price you would pay in Switzerland. We only stayed here two nights this trip. I wish we would have stayed longer.

Facilities: It is too complete. This hotel is a sports hotel. Not only the rooms are good, but there are many places worth playing around. There are tolerances, badminton halls, tennis halls, etc., etc., it is really great. The sanitary conditions are very good, adhering to the German hotel habits, much better than many five-star hotels in our country. Needless to say, the environment is not comparable. There are not many service staff, very few, in fact, there are only two people who really see it, but very enthusiastic. I am also happy to help others, I give 5⭐.
