Bus Hostel Reykjavik - Reykjavik Terminal

The *********** page for Bus Hostel clearly showed the option of booking a single bed (not a bunk bed) in a 20-bed dorm. I selected this option because I did not want to deal with a bunk bed, especially not a top bunk with the hassle of climbing up and down. When I arrived on August 3 however I was sent to a crowded room filled with nothing but bunk beds. When I informed the clerk that I had booked a single bed, not a bunk bed, she claimed that they only had bunk beds. Because I arrived in the evening after a long tour, all the bottom bunks were taken. When I told her I preferred not to have a top bunk because it was dangerous at my age to be climbing up and down in the dark, she suggested I ask someone to switch. Nobody would agree to do so. The bottom step on the bunk bed ladders at Bus Hostel is too high, about two feet from the floor, so that you literally have to jump down to reach the floor. During the night I had to get up to do the necessary. In the dark I struggled to find the too-high bottom rung on the ladder and slipped, falling to the floor. My thumb caught in the ladder as I fell resulting in a bloody cut and split thumbnail. I also wrenched my shoulder and twisted my ankle. In the morning when I turned in my pass key, I told the clerk about how I had injured myself falling off their too-high bunk bed ladder and how I had booked a single bed on ***********. He acted like he could care less and told me to “send an email.” If the *********** listing had not offered a single bed option, I would never have booked a stay in this smelly dorm. I was misled and ended up injured because of it. Neither Bus Hostel nor *********** offered me anything but lip service in response.

The hotel's front desk service is very good. The hotel rooms are also very quiet, which is rare in Iceland. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the old town. . . . . . . . .

The location is quite good, very close to the commercial street in downtown Lake, and there are many restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The hotel still has a sense of design. Although the room is not big, it is new and clean. The scenery outside the aisle is very good. Breakfast was mediocre. Overall the experience was pretty good.

The price of the hostel, Airbnb feels, there is a kitchen, many groups will pick up and drop off directly at the hotel. There is a convenient supermarket next to the hotel, and everything is convenient. But there is no elevator. If you are lucky, the hotel will see that you have no strength to carry luggage, and you will be upgraded to a room on the first floor for free. Haha (the third floor is a shared bathroom room)
Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel

The environment is beautiful, the housing conditions are clean, the service facilities are good, the design structure is unique, and the geographical position is unique. In the international market, there is such a hotel with high cost performance, and the description is worthwhile, so we must have a compliment here. Will continue to live one.
