Near city center, has free car park and few minutes walk away provided you can find an available one. Room is clean, 3 toilets with 2 showers, upstairs 1 toilet with shower. Quite a few rooms sharing the amenities. Full kitchen though a bit small.

The room is open and sunny, and the sanitation is very good. Although the environment is small, it has everything!
The only drawback is that the sound insulation needs to be improved.
But as a homestay, the environment is very good, very close to the city center, parking and shopping are very convenient!

We had a great night at this hostel. Although the facilities are basic, they are neat and clean. The rooms are neat, tidy and well maintained. Although it is a hostel, it provides comfortable accommodation. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience at this hostel. Recommended for travelers looking for simple, clean accommodation.

I didn't make a personal reservation, but I didn't receive an email from the owner saying self-check-in, so another guest opened the door and I went in after talking to the owner on the phone. You have to open the part with the room number and enter the password for each room to get the key and leave it inside when checking out. The entrance is not the stairwell in front when you come in, but the second floor of the stairs next to it, and the basement luggage storage room has to go to the back of the building, not the side.
It was nice that it was close to the city center and museums.

Booked two double rooms to welcome in the New Year in Reykjavik. Rooms were compact but very cosy, and the beds were comfortable. The shared kitchen was well appointed and very clean. The guesthouse was full the whole time we were there, but the rooms were well insulated, and you could barely hear the other guests. We usually avoid accommodation with shared bathrooms, but it was not a problem here. There are two shower rooms on the ground floor and one upstairs, so I never had to wait for a shower in the morning. The upstairs bathroom also had a washing machine and dryer, which was very handy after two weeks of travelling. The location is excellent. It is around 500 metres to the CBD, and it is easy to explore Reykjavik on foot from the guesthouse. Would definitely stay again and would have no hesitation in recommending Refurinn Guesthouse to families, couples or solo travellers.

Very basic with shared bathroom and kitchen. I would never choose that anywhere else, but a good price for one night in Reykjavik (which is enough i would say). And although the bathroom is shared there seem to be enough so we never had to wait. Free street parking a few streets away. Pleasant stroll into the center in summer
