We only decided to stop her, because the hotel owner had promised they could cook gluten-free for celiacs. The escalope that they served my celiac child did look suspicious. My husband asked 3 times if they were sure the meal was gluten free. Three times they insisted that the meal was totally safe for celiacs. After my child had a few bites it turned out that they indeed had made a mistake and used the regular breading. That led to a severe reaction on my kid hours later. The kitchen chef has been reassuring that the breading was made of buckwheat, but he could never prove it. The only way to make it better would have been a letter of apology to the poisoned child, which the kitchen chef also had promised to write. Half a year later the letter still did not arrive. He promised to send a picture of the ingredients for the FUTURE order, to prove there was no gluten, but that he never sent. We were "lucky" that there were 2 female employees who worked that day as the 2 had the courage to admit the mistake and inform immediately. By far not all who work here have the empathy and the courage to admit mistakes. We also learned later that the gluten free breading is standing right next to the regular breading which makes a cross-contamination impossible to avoid. This place is unfortunately dangerous for people with celiac disease or other food allergies.

1. Check-in/Check-out: 5/5 Very friendly check-in concierge (albeit looking somewhat tired?). Did not even ask for payment since we were checking in very late. Took care of all of that in the morning, which was certainly appreciated. 2. Rooms (cleanliness, amenities) 5/5 We booked a room with a staircase and beds upstairs, which was very cool! Clean room, good mattresses, a great view of the mountains! 3. On-premise restaurants: 2/5 We only had breakfast here, and while we came closer to breakfast ending, it was a ridiculous amount of time to wait for silverware and coffee. Had to ask repeatedly for it. 4. Pool area: n/a Did not use the amenties. 5. Service: 5/5 Overall weighted score: 4.7 out of 5.0 Would we come back? Yes

When entering you immediately realize that this is a family business - so much love and passion for details everywhere you look. Have tested some 5 or 6 hotels in the area and the breakfast has been by far the best in this hotel. Majority of the rooms has been renovated this year with additional balconies. Mandatory to mention is the level and quality of the meals. If you do like Steak you will love this place. One of the family members is running the kitchen and it simply very well done. Overall this is the place to stay if you are in the area in the very center of Reutte.

I had a lovely 3 night stay here in room 220 last week. The room, a single room, was large, with an en suite bathroom that, although small, was perfectly adequate. The room faced the front of the hotel and looked out onto the street. You could see the mountains. Unfortunately, it was too noisy to have the window open due to the noise of diners on the tables outside the restaurant, but at least the shut window blocked out the noise. I had a peaceful night’s sleep the whole time I was there. I wasn’t even disturbed by noise from other guests. The bed was comfortable, and the duvet wasn’t too thin, which makes a nice change when staying in a hotel! There was a fridge in my room, which was handy for keeping drinks cool. There were plenty of sockets in the room, which was handy for charging my phone and Apple Watch, and for using my straighteners. There was a large umbrella in the room too, which would have been very handy had it rained, but luckily, on the occasions it did rain, it was night time and I had no plans to go anywhere having been out and about all day. The breakfast buffet had an adequate choice - not a huge selection, but enough. Your usual items. Supper wasn’t bad either. The salad course and main course were buffet style, which I really hate to be honest - I like to be served my meal - and the starter and pudding was brought to you by a waitress. The starter was always a soup, and was always delicious. The soup we had on the first night - cream of potato - was particularly delicious. The service was very good. The waitresses were very friendly, particularly the waitress we had most often - a young lady with blonde hair. She was off one night as she’d been to the dentist, but the was there the rest of the time. (I’m mentioning this in order for the hotel to know who she is, as I didn’t catch her name.) The receptionist who was there for the most part of our stay, and who checked us in, was also lovely and friendly, always with a smile on her face. The hotel is in a good location. Reutte is a lovely little down. I’d happily stay at this hotel again. I really enjoyed my stay here. :)

Stayed here for Christmas with Leger holidays. Firstly the room was excellent overlooking the front. It rained a lot so it was very quiet outside. Comfortable and warm. The village was virtually shut down for 3 days being Christmas. No entertainment apart from Christmas night a man playing an organ. There was a bar but very expensive. The food was a let down, mushy grated salad bar, soup ok. Main course only one choice apart from a pasta dish usually veggie. Pudding no choice. There were two groups in and they only brought food in bowls enough for about 6 -8 people at a time forcing people to queue.

We were passing through on a coach trip, and the room was a generous size, with a balcony and a bit of warmth about it. The foam mattress was unsupportive however. The buffet dinner offered a good range of dishes, but the hot meal was cold by the time I got back to the table. As with many foreign hotels, there is no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, which is such an essential requisite. For me, no hotel can get 5* which does not include this necessity.

Nothing soecial but makes it work for clean bed in center of small town. In restaurant food is actually great for dinner. But Number of flies makes your dinner and breakfast unpleasant. Breakfast is quite poor. After all places is well maintained
