I rested with my sister, we really liked everything, I recommend it, the hotel is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and nice, the breakfasts were wonderful, I also recommend a massage, you will not regret it if you choose this hotel « Melrose Rethymno by Mage Hotels”

nice hote but pool could be open to 10 pm not 7:30, at least weekends, and drinking water should be provided every day, its a 4 star hotel after all, 5 star breakfast sounds from balcony late at night will disturb you if want to sleep 10pm, dont need to bring your book hotell has small library

Very pleasant visit. The location is very convinient, roughly 1km from the old town and only a block away from the beach. Hotel is extremely well-maintained and clean. Breakfast buffet has sufficient variety, some local delicasies and some daily variation. Above all, the staff is very nice, helpful and always ready to go an extra mile. My spouse had her birthday while we were staying and they brought a small cake with a candle for her in the breakfast. The lady serving coffee is an absolute gem, always smiling and ready to help.

Great hotel! Beach within walking distance. Beautiful, spacious, clean room. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast, with staff willing to help you with Greek (efcharistó, Elena...). At the reception, you can also get explanations and help booking excursions, no more expensive than elsewhere. Nice pool with free towels. Small downside: There's a dark, yet transparent window between the bathroom and bedroom. As a married couple, that wasn't a problem for us, but not everyone will appreciate it. I can't think of any other negatives. A truly great hotel; this is just what you want on vacation.

What a wonderful hotel is Melrose in Rethymno! Nice, clean and spacious rooms. Plenty of facilities. Delicious breakfast and super friendly and helpful staff, especially Nikoletta, Sofia, and Stella! Excellent location 50 meters from the beach and within walking distance of the historic center. We have already booked for next year!

Melrose hotel is an excellent choice. We traveled as a couple. The hotel is two minutes from the seaside promenade, beach and restaurants. At the same time, it is located in a quiet area. The rooms are very comfortable (I recommend the higher standard ones), cleaned every day. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful in every situation. After a few days, we felt taken care of like family. The breakfasts are very tasty, everyone will find something for themselves. Drink bar by the pool, fitness area and spa. The center of Rethymno is only a 20-minute walk away. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful, clean hotel with nice service, and a nice pool, close to the beach. Only negatives were that double beds consisted of two single beds next to each other and that the hot tub wasn’t working.
