Creta Aquamarine Hotel

Fab location, the hotel is well managed by the lovely Mr Polyrios and his assistant Vozalia. Its constantly cleaned, towels changed everyday. Location is brill, 5 mins from the seafront. The restaurant food is tasty, the staff, Tako and Shako are stars. Thanks to you both.

Reception staff very helpful. Room immaculate. Cleaning staff came every day with fresh bedding and towels. Balcony to front of hotel. There was only one downside - Many of the guests were all inclusive so the bar did not open until 12 noon. So, as a paying guest, if you wanted to lie by the pool in the morning there was nowhere to get a drink.

I cant give you a real review. Because we didn’t end up staying there. Unfortunately, our rooms had plumbing problems(supposedly) so we got sent somewhere else. The other place looked great on the outside but not so great inside our room. So we had no choice but to reserve rooms elsewhere and pay more money! Don’t get me wrong, everyone was pleasant especially the owner. He was generous enough to say we could come back for breakfast lunch and dinner there still. Which I would hope so since it’s an all-inclusive place. And I did pay towards the stay and hotel fees that was the least they could do. We ended up having to spend way more money than expected at other hotels. We decided to go to Saturnini for three of the nights. And that was the best decision ever! But every time we came to eat(not everyday) , they were so pleasant it was hard to be upset with them. Unfortunately, we didn’t come there to make friends. So it was still upsetting. Instead of going to our room in the hotel after dinner and a long day, we had to get into our car and drive to our air bnb we rented out. The dinners there, though, were delicious. The only reason I’m not giving them a one star is because they were pleasant and the food was fantastic. But the room situation ******.

This hotel was lovely and in a great location, so close to the beach. I went with my friend and we were both so happy with it. The room was nice, with a lovely little balcony and a spacious fridge! Maria on reception was an angel, and she really made our trip the best it could be! Always friendly and informative, and very funny! Thank you so much to the all the staff there for a great holiday :)

This hotel was so cute and amazing to stay at. There is a small staff, but everyone is so friendly. I did not care for the beds as they are really firm. The owner Polyvios was so accommodating and made my stay pleasant and smooth. The food was always hot and fresh. And being steps away from the beach made the almost hour drive from Heraklion airport worth it!

Booked a room with a sea view which cost us extra money. Upon arrival it became clear that this wasn't the case. The balcony had a view of a dirt road and a big tree, no sea in sight. Upon complaining to the manager his response was "every view is a sea view if you crane your neck" refering to the fact that the sea was located further up the road behind other buildings and would require some impressive gymnastics to actually see from our balcony. Completely false advertising and a snotty attitude from both the male employees we encountered behind the desk. They moved us to another room the next night which was much better, still no sea view but at least we had a better bed and room. The previous room had two twin beds that were hard as rock, a god awful smelling bathroom and cheap laminate flooring. We definitely felt as though they fobbed us off with the worst room because we were British. The "sea view" and basic rooms are exactly the same, they just advertise it as a sea view to con extra money out of gullible tourists. The room itself is basic, no safe despite it being advertised as having one... No mugs or glasses and the towels were not changed when the room was cleaned. Basic as basic can be, not surprising given the three star rating of the hotel but you can definitely get a better three star for the price. The only redeeming factor of the hotel is its location, with a short five minute walk into town and a short walk to the beach... That and the lady employee on the front desk was lovely, polite and genuinely helpful, unlike the "technician" who sat on his behind all day and constantly glared at us. In short. Don't bother.
