The hotel is in an ideal location, and is atmospheric, authentic and charming ( with a couple of small issues). PARKING : The communication before arrival was a bit lacking , but you can park in the car park about 3 minutes further up the street which looks like its just for another hotel but in fact is a public car park at about 30 euros for 2 days. The hotel has a lovely entrance off a quiet small street in the old town, and an excellent restaurant on site, we had a lovely welcome and got our case carried upstairs . KEY CARDS : As its an old building there is no lift, which is Ok except the key cards don't work ! So having climbed up some very steep stairs you are then faced with no access to the room. CURTAINS There are no blackout curtains, ( or they are so ineffectual as to be useless) something that really should be fixed ! SHOWER : The shower is hand held linked to the bath taps, but has no anchor in the wall, so you have to hold it while showering . While the key card issue may be difficult to fix , the other 2 things are easy and cheap to sort . Otherwise if you like quirky, charming ( and dont mind a wee bit of dust) then you will love this place ! Id go back and yes Id recommend it , and the restaurant was wonderful !
