Grecotel Casa Adele

This is our experience and our thoughts. The short version is - this doesnt feel like a 4-star hotel, this is in fact the worst 4-star we have stayed at. Since our review is based on 4-star expectations we give it a 1/5 in every aspect. We paid about 2700 euro with flight from Sweden, Stockholm, 7 nights, 2 adults mid juli -24). Do not get fooled by the advertising pictures, check other sources like g++gle or insta6ram. - Very dirt hotel room. - Very poor cleaning. - Doesnt exchange dirty towels even when on the floor, we had to ask them to replace them! - VERY noisy close to the highway, even with doors and windows closed. - Poor quality of breakfast - Not enough sunbeds We regret choosing this filthy hotel! The full version below, been taking daily notes. Arriving at the hotel at 00:40, check- in takes a bit more time than it should, only one person serving 5 or 6 companies arriving with the same transfer. They have you sign a contract about having cleaners in your room. Entering the hotelroom and its not properly cleaned, dust on furniture and the floor is dirty. By day 3 they still havent removed the small piece of candy I dropped on the floor the first day. First morning Woke up by noise from the street next to my room, the doors are not soundproof what so ever, heavily traficked street behind the hotel. We later came to be aware of the neighbour german Shepherd that seem to live 24/7 in their yard, it barks when cars drive by (all hours). It really sounds like your door is open - I cannot stress enough how poorly soundproofed the door is. First breakfast Theres alot of items on the buffet, however alot of the trays were empty. We decided to wait for scrambled eggs, pancakes and such but since we werent alone waiting and didnt get any. The drinks such as orange juice etc was warm, actually warmer than the temperature in the buffet area - not pleasant. We got irritated and left. Second breakfast, we went early and were able to try alot of what they offer, nothing was especially good, most of what we tried was actually quite bad. Our room does however have a kitchen and Lidl is just a short walk. Beware though, the kitchen we had was disgusting. When we went for the breakfast at 8:30 all sunbeds were reserved by other guests. The pools opening hours are 10-18:00. Bathing before 10 and after 18 not allowed. We took a look at the gym, it was very basic (homegym equipment of very low quality) and we couldnt use it since it require you to make a reservation, the gym also has bad opening hours. 17:30 first day, back from the beach. The room has now been "cleaned" (still dirty), our dirty towels have not been exchanged, they took them up from the floor, folded and placed back where they keep the towels. All the sunbeds still occupied fyi. Filled the fridge with drinks, you can fit full size wine/champagnebottles. There is also a small tray for ice in the freeze compartment. Amazing hotel, very clean and staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good and so much choice. any taxis needed just ask at reception,10 euros to old town Very cheap in all the local bars around and fairly priced at the old town aswell, beach 2 min walk away aswell, would definately go back!

Currently in this fabulous hotel that we cannot fault. Apartment spacious and bed and pillows are very comfortable. Aircon is lovely and cold in both the living area and bedroom. Pool towels provided in the room, along with kettle, we have a microwave, fridge and kitchen area, if you want English tea bring tea bags. Hairdryer and full ironing board and iron in room too. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a great choice and staff are very attentive. Hotel on main road but not noisy at all, we are in a room located near the main pool and we don’t hear any road noise. Pool is lovely you do not have to get up to get a bed, it’s currently 9.30 and there’s myself and 1 other person at the main pool. Seems to be beds available at any time of the day( not sure if we’ve just been lucky ). Beach is across the road go down next to the marem restaurant and there’s the Sandy but then it does go to stones/ shingle so I would recommend beach shoes. Waves are big and it does seem to drop out rather than gradually get deeper. We were lucky enough to spot something brown not far out and after watching it was a huge turtle that kept coming up every so often for air. There are beds on the beach provided by the marinos hotel, €15 for front row padded very comfy beds or €10 for any other row that includes 2 beds a parasol and use of the toilets and hotel wifi for the day. There are other beds along the beach to hire and restaurants to eat in. Supermarket is a couple of minutes walk going left out of the hotel. Our favourite places to eat have been Myli excellent food and the sky park both left out of the hotel. We didn’t really venture right out of the hotel had a little walk down but everything we wanted was to the left. Buses seem to run every hour around 25-30 mins past. We got a taxi to rethymo old town €13 and €10 back from the taxi rank. Lovely town lots of shops bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday and hope to do a return visit.

TERRIBLE hotel, beware and stay elsewhere! I am from the US and this feels like a 2 star hotel. One of our pillows looked like it had blood stains on it. Really gross. Room was very old and the air conditioning hardly worked. With the air on as cold as it could go it got to only about 80F in the room. Our room was a two story - the bedroom was upstairs and it was so hot with the air that we had to sleep on the couches downstairs. Hardly slept since it was so hot and couches were uncomfortable. Extremely disappointed. We expressed how bad we thought it was to reception and they did not accommodate in any way. DO NOT stay here.

We stayed with the family for a week in mid-October and had a great time Clean hotel and friendly staff ✨ The rooms had air conditioning and the spacious rooms were cleaned daily. The hotel has two swimming pools, but they are not heated. Free parking spaces on the street in the backyard ️ Most of the customers were families with children and older couples. Leoniki Residence and Grand Leoniki Residence are in the same hotel area. We had booked a room at Leoniki Residence. I recommend the hotel

Very nice hotel with even nicer staff! we were shocked when we were taken to our room which turned out to be an apartment! Nice surprise. very spacious and very light and airy. Sorry but I am not sure I agree with the star rating as the use of shower curtains is not in keeping, it is 2024 after all! I really do detest shower curtains! The food was a bonus as the evening meal was thrown in the price however, I would not say it was that authentic, nice enough but not particularly Greek! All in all we did have a lovely relaxing time. Thanks especially to Eirini and Mikhalis in the dining room they were superb, they all were in fact!! Thank you again.
