Minos Hotel

Great location and very good breakfast with a wide range of choices.

I came for a holiday alone and I was a little bit worried about how it will turn out since it was the first time experiencing it, but all my expectations were exceeded. First of all, I was welcome by Rene that is such an amazing lovely young lady and genuinely kind. They immediately offered me a lemonade when I arrived since it has been a long trip. She told me that now it is time to relax because I am in holiday and I was absolutely amazed by her attention to details and her willingness to answer every question I had. There is something magic about Greece and I always feel welcome but here it was even better than usually. I came for Easter holiday so I was invited to an amazing party they held with the occasion. For the modest price of 14 euro I was able to participate and enjoy amazing live greek music, traditional Easter food, roasted lamb and many other things. I was impressed of the fact that Rene was always around and made me feel so good even if I was alone, but being extremely careful not to take any of my personal space. She has an amazing emotional intelligence. She introduced me to other people, she was always taking care of everyone to make sure we all feel great. The hotel also offered a little Easter gift in my room, red eggs and traditional cake, which again made me feel so welcome and really experience Orthodox Easter and greeks hospitality. The hotel was very clean, room was huge, everything was well taken care of. Breakfast was unbelievably varied, from english breakfast to Mediterranean choices..they even had onion rings which I never saw before for breakfast. Absolutely delicious and amazing. Overall, this was a truly amazing experience, the staff, the hotel, the food, the hospitality and care I felt were the perfect ingredients for a perfect holiday. Greece is a blessed country and I can feel it every time I come

Pre booked by TUI has part of our tour holiday! Spent 3 nights there room was pleasant overlooking the ping pong table think there are more modern rooms you could upgrade too ! Only had breakfast which had a lovely selection a mixed group of foreign travellers there ! pool was nice but shut at 6pm which wasn’t great nice walk into the old town which we loved nice entertainment especially for the kids and staff were all lovely especially on the reception

Had a initial issue with our room, my son and I had been allocated a deluxe double room in the newer annexe, we had booked a room via Jet2, with a double plus sofa bed, there were none available. The duty manager, who was very helpful and apologetic, eventually found us a twin room, not the same standard but adequate, in the main body of the hotel. Our room had a fridge(welcoming water and baguettes) tea making facilities, free digital safe, large tv(didn't turn it on, so not sure of the channels). The bathroom's walk-in shower had plenty of hot water and free toiletries. Towels,toilet waste bin and room could be serviced everyday but we chose every other. My only gripe would be a lack of storage space for clothes and the walls being a little thin,noise from the corridor, be it housekeeping or guests, could be heard from 6am onwards. We had the bed and breakfast option,served in the spacious restaurant,there was plenty of choice to be had and covered hot,cold,healthy plus a great deal of obliging staff,clearing tables and willing to assist. With three pools, main with bar area, childrens and my favourite,the rooftop adults only. My daughter tried the spa, in the sister, Ambassador Hotel, next door and said it was excellent. The Minos is situated a short 2 minute walk to the beach/promenade, lined with plenty of places to eat/drink, along which a 20/25 minute will take you to the OldTown. All in all, we thoroughly our week stay here, made all the much better by the staff, who without fail, were professional, friendly, helpful, polite and welcoming.

Hotel was ok. We paid extra for a superior room but it wasn't. Housekeeping didn't clean very well but there was always clean towels and sheets. Very little room for your clothes. They could put in an extra cabinet somewhere. The location is pretty good, short walk to beach and restaurants. The spa is a MUST DO! Book with Katerina for massage, body scrub and skin wrap. She is aces! Their BBQ night was excellent!

The staff are all amazing especially the bar staff and animation team, so friendly and happy to help and talk, just lovely people. Erica and Timothy are just fabulous and helped make our holiday.
