Filoxenia Beach Hotel

噩梦酒店，千万别看了网上假照片上当！If you book this hotel, it will be the beginning if your nightmare!!! We booked “ Loft Suite” but the hotel owner assign us a double room, with the excuse the hotel is full, and he said this room is better, of course no refund of difference from hotel’s part. Whole hotel there is no lift, so you have to take the heavy luggage by yourself, no one will help you,listening even the bad joke of owner “ the fault of women is there is luggage ”. On the web they wrote till 22 check-in but in reality is till 21, then they will close whole reception, nobody there after. The room is smelly and dirty, bed so hard like to sleep on the wood table, the bathroom fell down in pieces the shower, nothing to hold the shower head and tube, no amenities of shower gel and shampoo, you have to prepare by yourself, when you shower water comes on the floor like a lake and surrounded the toilet and comes in the corridor, the water in the sink of the washbasin doesn’t go down. The little glass table in bedroom is broken already. The balcony you can’t use because you find the air condition outside part exactly there throwing the hot air and noise to you.Don’t be surprise when you pass in front the reception in the morning, there are dog and cat at reception, the receptionist is with her breast outside giving milk to her son, of course the grandmother after touched the baby will prepare you the breakfast, the breakfast are out on the bar table very high next to the table of reception, you can’t even see the food, if you want water and coffee they will charge you apart without telling you before, the coffe is worse then the brash of the **** of dog. If you have car you will have big problem for parking, because out of hotel is a narrow commercial road with double directions, impossible to find at all the parking place, or you have to search 2-3 hours. The hotel owner tried to give us the already gone bad whole black banana for welcome, of course we don’t want to be ill and we don’t eat. The hotel is very far from Rethymno city, you need a car to drive there! At the entrance of your room door you will find always the rubbish and room service remaining food of other rooms. Hotel managed by a family but the quality and service is worse then any BB in this planet!!!

From start to finish it was beautiful! Eva and her father were extremely welcoming, absoloutly stunning views amazing food and very accomadating. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Will definately be going back for a longer stay next year!!!!!

An excellent little hotel with the friendliest staff. Breakfast had a good hot and cold variety and was freshly cooked. Situated a 10/15 minute walk along the flat from the old town, it made for the perfect location. Quiet and peaceful both day and night but with a bustling little town close by. Eva and her staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. As mentioned in other reviews our bathroom was small and I'm not a small guy but it was adequate and I'd rather enjoy my holiday than moan about trivial things. On our final day we had a late flight but the hotel has a shower/ changing room for guests with toiletries and a hair dryer, so we could make the most of our time. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would like to thank Eva and all her staff for making our stay a lovely experience.

Spent 2 weeks at Folixenia Beach Hotel Rethmynon. Made very welcome right from the start. Wonderful views over the sea, waking up to the sound of the sea and waking upto it every morning was so lovely Eva and her family were very friendly and helpful. Eva did this whilst caring for her beautiful 4month old daughter Harriet who greeted us with big gummy smiles every morning. The breakfasts were so plentiful and varied, prepared by wonderful Eleni,never eaten breafasts like it ,home made savoury and sweet pies. Just a great place to stay, A lovely and tearful farewell, we just didn't want to leave Crete is a beautiful Island, wonderful people and food We will hopefully return Thankyou Eva and family
