Be mindful about very busy and noisy street that the hotel is located on.

We have just come back from our amazing stay in this hotel. The location is perfect if you are happy to have a 20 minute stroll into the main town, or even get a taxi (7/8 euros). The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming (we didn't get the name of the young girl on the desk but she was lovely). The rooms are quite basic but for a week stay they were perfect if you are not in your room too much. As we went in October the pool area was quiet and was perfect for relaxing in the day. The breakfast is just a standard European breakfast, perfect for just grabbing a bite to eat in the morning. The sea is right on the doorstep. The pool area has a snack bar (salads, pizzas, gyros) and was really high quality food. There are also amazing restaurants surrounding the hotel - which were amazing (Taverna Galera, Prima Plora and Karnagio). Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break. For the price, we were so so impressed.

Beautiful small hotel and lovely staff By the roadside we had a sea view which was lovely rooms at the back can hear the traffic Enough beds for guests not always enough space outside for breakfast though Pebbly beach so take beach shoes Location great to walk into the old town Can walk this in 15 mins Hundreds of shops bars restaurants so we visited every evening and got a taxi back for about 6 euros 2 hour transfer from heraklion airport Great location for trips as pretty much 2 hours from heraklion and 2 hours from balos beach and elefanissi beach Which were stunning Few restaurants a bit further down from hotel also Breakfast at hotel basic but sufficient Lunch ok not much choice but large portions Small cove just down from hotel 2 minute walk no sun loungers but nice and peaceful if you take towel to lay on the sand Crete is Beautiful stunning place with the scenery and the trip to balis and elafanissi beach is advised Take walking shoes as you have to walk from thd coach to the beach down a mountain Rude through the mountains on the coach is stunning Overall great experience and i have been all over the world One last thing take extra hangers as not much storage but manageable and wasnt a problem No kettle facility but we took a travel kettle and bought a greek mug Fridge in room and also a shop few doors down and also a coffee shop next door Bus tickets can be purchased from coffee shop and cost 1 euro to the old town each way Be mindful there is a scenic bus number 20 which is the coast road and passes the hotels however there is also a national bus which doesnt lass all hotels. We realised this as a cost of 35 euros after getting the wrong bus and got off in the middle of nowhere and had to get a taxi back

Overall it was good value for money and beautiful views from the balcony. Staff were welcoming. The room had good interior decor however we felt there needed to be further renovations to the hotel, the bathroom particularly needed work as we had wires out of the wall and a loose toilet . It was quite noisy in the room from the main road traffic but manageable. The pool side area was very nice with great views. The beach was a bit unclean with cigarette ends etc but cannot always be helped I know. The cold breakfast was ok but the cooked produce could be improved as appeared dried out and unappetising. There are a few lovely local restaurants if don’t want to walk 20 minutes into Rethymno. It was good for a one night stay.

What a fabulous hotel, so friendly and laid back. Amazing place for couples, Personally I would not come with a family as not much for kids around. Great restaurants close by and a superb coffee shop a few doors down. Best relaxing week we have ever had. We had a duplex room with sea views.

We have just left from a week at Petradi Beach Hotel. We were disappointed to say the least, when booking the hotel we had the option of a balcony or terrace, there was no choice to select a sea view room. Upon arrival, we were given a room facing the main road which is extremely busy 24 hours of the day, the balcony (if you could call it that) was tiny and we couldn’t sit out on it for the whole of our stay. The breakfast was awful. One day we came down for breakfast 30 minutes early and all of the “hot” food was already out. It was very disappointing and we had to eat out for breakfast each day even though it was included in our stay. The pool and beach area is very nice, it is very chilled but there is nowhere near enough Sunbed’s for all of the guests in the hotel. The location of the hotel wasn’t great, it’s a 20 minute walk along a very busy main road to get into the old town, there is no beach front to walk on. You can get a taxi for €6 or the bus for €1 which was handy. I would definitely recommend doing this to save the walk along the narrow footpath which is also combined with a cycle path. Despite the room, balcony, noise and breakfast letting the hotel down. The old town and the restaurants along the front are lovely and definitely worth visiting.

We had a brilliant 2 week stay at the Petradi Beach Hotel. We stayed in room 310 which was large and had an amazing view of the sea and the old town. I can't compliment all the staff enough. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all very friendly. We used the snack bar for lunch and the portions were huge and tasty. It's a 20 minute stroll to the old town or you can get a bus from across the road to the hotel. You can buy the bus tickets from the cafe next to the hotel.

14 members of our family all stayed here. Our daughter got married at Agrego Farm and we made Petradi our base for nearly 14 days. There were some negatives, but these were outweighed by the positives, as follows: Free excellent air conditioning. Good balcony seating, overlooked poolside, beach and sea. Useful to dry beachwear. Free beach towels that could be changed every two days. Extremely comfortable bed and plenty of lovely pillows. Cleaning staff amazing, doing great daily job. Plenty of clean linen, fresh every day. Pool was cleaned every day, pool area washed down every day. Undercover areas to eat breakfast outside or alternatively, in the dining room. Good choice of food, plenty of decent coffee at breakfast-time. Generous helpings of lunch-time food like Greek Salad, chips, omelettes etc. All prepared fresh to order and well presented. Fresh orange juice was lovely. Bar open until 11pm for our family gatherings which was lovely. Undercover casual sitting areas for enjoying a drink near the sea. Fresh water shower on beach. Very relaxing atmosphere, vibe and staff. No-one looking over your shoulder. Family remarked on decent prices for both food and drink, to the hotel's credit. Absolutely wonderful staff throughout; nothing too much trouble. Negatives: More umbrella's needed for shade around pool (about 3). Undercover table eating area needs extending, increasing outside eating area. Dining room needs warmth, eg pottery, plants, rugs on walls - was more like an echoing canteen. And finally, my nemesis, PLEASE put drawers, hooks and more clothing storage (chest of drawers) in rooms, especially Room 309. :) Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing holiday. The staff are the stars of the whole place, keeping it beautifully clean and doing all they can to make your stay lovely. Eva makes the best aperol spritz while the kitchen makes a mean gyros and club sandwich. The pool area is small but perfectly formed. Yes the beach is stony but this doesn’t detract from the beauty of the bay and the view over to Rethymno old town. And did I say the air conditioning is fantastic! It is a short walk into the old town (20 mins) which we loved or a cheap taxi ride. Altogether, we have lived our stay at Petradi beach! If you want flashy, don’t bother. If you want a lovely, genuinely Cretan small hotel experience then I would absolutely recommend a stay here x
