Great location close to both the beach, nightlife and the old town. Balcony with ocean view. Room was cleaned every day. Very friendly and professional staff. I would love to stay here again, they made my birthday vacation extra special!

Nice experience in this family hotel, very well run! Good conditions for the money and for a 3 stars hotel: confy beds, very good AC and wifi, elevator. Have to pay for the safe, 2 e/day. Pretty small bathroom, but ok for an economy room. Every day cleaning the room. Also, every day changing towels. Very close to the beach, around 200 m, and also close to the old center, about 500 m. The breakfast also good for a 3 stars hotel. I would go back for sure.

We stayed at Astali for 6 nights, and had a really nice stay! The staff at the hotel were so friendly and always willing to help when we had different questions. For example, they helped us planning trips to places around the island. The hotel is located close to the old town, and also the beach. You can walk to almost everything from the hotel. The bus station is also a 15 minutes walk away, if you want to explore some of the other villages and attractions nearby. The room had AC and a little fridge, which was nice in the heat. The cleaning was impeccable, for instance we got new towels every day. We would highly recommend this hotel in Rethymnon, and we would love to come back!

I looked at a lot of TripAdvisor ratings prior to selecting this hotel. I have to say everyone was right. You know when a hotel is run well when everything just functions as it should. Rooms are clean with good air-conditioning, a safe for a week is €12. Room is cleaned everyday and towels changed. Breakfast is continental and of good quality, constantly monitored and added too. Small indoor and outdoor bar. Everything is well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and approachable. The location is between the old town and the beach. Not sure how i could have picked any better. Thank you Astali and staff.

The room we stayed in was a bit small, but it had comfortable beds. I was amazed by the cleanliness of the hotel. Our room was cleaned every day, and we also got fresh clean towels every single day! The bedsheets were changed also once. Now let's talk about the location. It is located between the old town and the beach, so you have everything close, you do not need to ride buses to get to the old town center nor to the beach. Everything is perfectly reachable by foot. There is a non-stop market across the road, a pharmacy, and coffee shops also.

We spent a great week at this nice family run hotel. We needed a central hotel as a base for our week as we mixing business and family holiday. Could not fault the hotel at all very clean, lovely breakfast and super friendly staff.

Astali hotel is in a great location just a minute's walk to the beach with shops and restaurants close by. The friendly staff make you feel very welcome and all speak good English. The rooms which have strong wi-fi signal and individual air conditioning are cleaned daily along with the towels and bed linen being changed and each room has a balcony. The floors can be accessed by lift so no need to walk up and down stairs. Breakfast which is served from 7.30 is continental with a good choice to please everyone and can be taken either inside or outside on the terrace bar area. The bus stop to travel west is right outside the hotel and due to the one-way road system, the bus stop to travel east is just one road up from Astali. I rate this hotel so highly that I stayed here in June and August this year.

The Hotel is very simple, but inside the City of rhethymnon you have enough things to discover outside your hotel. The breakfast is very good and contains everything you expect. From the hotel to the oldtown it is about s 10min walk, so you have any possibilities to find great restaurants and party attraction in the evenings. I would clearly recommend the hotel to people, who look for a hotel close to the oldtown and close to the beach.

My family of 4 stayed for a week in 2 rooms. The hotel seems renovated on the outside and has a good location close to the beach and the old city of Rethymnon. The staff is very friendly and service minded. Even though the rooms are small, they are clean and contain everything we need for a family holiday; towels, fridge, hairdryer, water boiler and AC. Breakfast is simple but has fresh and good food. It's great to have breakfast outdoors in front of the hotel and take in the Greek morning atmosphere.

Have just return from a fantastic 2 week stay at the Astali Hotel in Rethymno. We stay here 8 years ago and promised ourselves a return visit, it disappoint. This family run hotel is a little GEM and everyone there can’t do enough for you to make your stay the best. Yes the rooms are on the small side but for how long your in them they have everything you need including air conditioning and a fridge, even an iron since our last stay. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. At breakfast there is a wide choice to suit every taste, the hotel is ideally situated for the great historic town and all the restaurants you could wish for, hoping to make a 3rd visit in the not too distant future. We wish you well for the future Astali and family.

Can't praise this hotel enough. Very friendly family owned hotel. everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bed linen changed daily. The location is very central for the resort. We would definite recommend.

We have stayed at the Astali before. It is not often we return to a place given there are so many places to visit in the world, so this in its self is remarkable. Through lockdown it was not the exotic far flung places I hankered for it was the Astali and Rethymnon. So we returned and I have to say even after two years of build up it does not disappoint. It is a family owned and run hotel, this shows in all they do. For them it is personal, nothing is too much trouble, They are warm and friendly and make you feel so welcome. On a practical note, the rooms are exceptionally clean as is all of the hotel. The breakfast has lots of choices, varied enough you can always find something you fancy. The bar is a nice place to stop before or after dinner, also on returning after a day out. The location is perfect set close to the beach and also the old town. We will certainly return. Thank you to all of the staff for the care and attention they give to their guests.

The location of the hotel was perfect, because it was nearby the beach, supermarket, boulevard, busstation etc. You can go everywhere by walk. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. I would recommend this to everyone who is going to Rethymnon
