Beautifully atmospheric with an amazing building of 600 years based in the old town of Rethymnon. Great location, 20 minute walk to the beach, got it's own fine dining Greek restaurant but several restaurants either to the left or the right within 5 minutes walk. Brilliant staff, lovely rooms with very comfy beds and excellent air conditioning. Great food everywhere, nice wines. Loved our week there.

We hosted our Welcome Dinner the night before our wedding in the courtyard at the Veneto and it was truly unforgettable. The food was absolutely exceptional--every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, showcasing the best of Greek cuisine. Our guests were raving about the meal long after the evening ended! The service was just as impressive. The staff were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. They seamlessly accommodated our group, making sure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the night. The atmosphere was also wonderful, with the perfect blend of elegance and warmth, creating a magical setting for the special evening. The Veneto truly made our celebration a night to remember, and we are so grateful to them. We highly recommend The Veneto for anyone looking for incredible food, outstanding service and an unforgettable dining experience in Crete!

My wife, I, and two family members just returned from staying three nights at the stunning and historical Veneto Boutique Hotel. The staff was amazing, the rooms were spacious and well appointed. Our stay was filled with personal attention from arrival to departure from the owner Yiannis. He and his staff made sure that every detail of our stay was perfect. A wonderful breakfast was served each morning which was a great way to start each day of our Cretan travels. The kitchen was even able to pack us a small take away breakfast on one of our early departure mornings. The location was perfect for discovering all that Rethmyno had to offer as well. The detail that Yiannis has put into the restoration of the historical monastery is evident in every regard. We can not recommend Veneto highly enough.

There is magic to stay in hotel who used to be a monetary 600 hundred years old the service is excellent nice breakfast worm welcome with drinks on the house very well located near a parking place in a walking distance near the promenade the city is lovely especially in the evening

This beautiful hotel is a renovated 15th century Venetian mansion house, wonderfully located for exploring Rethymno Old Town. The rooms are simply and nicely furnished. We stayed in room 105 which is light and airy and has a small balcony over-looking the courtyard. The staff are excellent – helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the Old Town, yet the hotel provides a calm and peaceful place to stay. Numerous restaurants and cafés are close by and the Venetian Harbour, Fortezza, museums and the beach are all within a few minutes’ walk, as are the Municipal Gardens. We can highly recommend this hotel.

Ideal for a romantic getaway. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Great location to explore the old town of Rethymno. Situated near really nice restaurants and bars. Excellent breakfast. The staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating.

Hotel with renewed facilities. It is in the center of the city. Everything is at hand. Although our stay was not pleasant because we were given a room on the ground floor full of humidity. The atmosphere was unbearably wet. It should not be occupied by guests in winter. Breakfast was very complete, but nobody was there to replace food.
