Starting from the beginning of the holiday I'll give as much information as I can about location, hotel and the lovely hosts Marea and her mum. Summarising the 3 best things are how insainly clean it is (brand new), the amazing location and how lovely Marea and her mum are. -Transport- From the airport was very easy, on the way we got a taxi which was 100€ and on the way back we got a bus to Chania and then taxi to the airport which was 40€ (Both ways took about the same amount of time, 1h 20.) -Location- The hotel has an absolutely amazing location, a quiet street with no cars and very little passing people yet the harbour is less than 2 minutes walk from the room. -There's so many lovely restaurants, traditional Greek food, luxery sushi, cheaper Gyros cafes, some in the harbour or over looking the sea, others in the historical old town. -The beach is 15 mins walk past loads of shops, cafes and restaurants. It's a nice walk that's not down a hot busy road, there's lots of shade under the cafe fronts and we really liked it. The beach is mainly sandy with loads of sunbed rentals/water sports, no massive rocks in the sea, it's got a nice gentle slope and doesn't get too deep too quickly. (The beach is huge! If you like a walk it's almost 12k long!) Please don't worry about this place not having a pool, we've never been on holiday without a pool before but would definitely do it again. The beach is so lovely you're not missing out. -You can walk 10 mins to castle remains with amazing views over the town/harbour. In the town there's lots to see if you have a cloudy day. -We couldn't see the sunset from the main harbour, it goes behind the hill but from the hotel if you walk 5 mins you can get the the other side of the town and watch the sunset by the sea. -Hotel- -Reception. The outside is well lit, there is key card entry and umbrellas if you need them. -Breakfast room. As we were at the end of the season we had breakfast in our room but the dinning area is lovely, light and airy with high ceilings. -Upstairs. There are 3 rooms so the hotel was very peaceful, the other rooms have their own entrance outside. -We stayed in the balcony room. Balcony small but enough for two. Door had open and vent position with anti bug net that could be slid over, didn't see a single bug or mosquito during out whole holiday. There was an area to dry bikinis which we found very useful. -Bedroom- -The bed was large and very comfortable, very soft sheets and great black out curtains. An LED control panel for lighting by the bed, great options for different types of soft mood lighting. Netflix big TV. -Kitchen. Not too small but also not too big, perfect useful size for what we needed, doesn't feel like it takes over the room. Again all brand new and totally spotless. Good size fridge with inbuilt freezer, two types of coffee we had filtered machine and pod machine, kettle, toaster and blender. We had wine, homemade raki, fruits, toast, homemade cake, oran
