The Cottage is located in Republic Michigan and sits on 12.5 acres and 970 ft of frontage on the Michigamme River. Very private, easy access, which is just about 100 yards off the Highway, so easily accessible in the summer and fall with any vehicle. Great kayaking river, nearby ATV and Snowmobile trails, many nearby lakes offering great Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, and Panfish. There are also many nearby Trout streams, and Good Deer, Grouse Hunting. Our Cabin is easily accessible and very private. Enjoy beauty of our flowing river while relaxing on the porch with your morning cup of coffee. Then enjoy kayaking, canoeing, fishing, or just relaxing on the shoreline. You Will have 970 feet of river frontage to enjoy. There are many Bald Eagles, Deer, Turkey, and Occasionally Moose in the area. You will have the entire property to yourself and the surrounding wildlife. This Cottage is located 45 minutes from Iron Mountain, Michigan and 45 Minutes from Marquette Michigan. This is a nice central location to take in many beautiful U.P. attractions with an hour or less drive. we provide pretty much everything you will need during your stay.Great deer hunting during the Michigan bow and gun deer seasons. lots of public land. Great Location for ATV, UTV's, All Terrain Vehicles. There are many miles of roads and trails that are easily accessible and also many small remote lakes and streams to explore. Book early for snowmobile season!! the cottage is located very close to trail number 5. very easy access and a nice warm cabin to return to after a long day on the trail.There are also many ice fishing opportunities in the area, so if you are interested in trying ice fishing, there are many nearby lakes with good fishing for Bluegills, Crappie, Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch. If you are new to ice fishing, and want to give it a try, I would be happy to provide some assistance if available. If you are interested in a Great Lakes Charter fishing trip, there are a couple of charters available in on Lake Superior that offer great Lake Trout fishing and only about an hour and a half drive from our cottage. if interested, please ask and I will gladly give you some contacts for a great charter fishing trip. With 3 bedrooms including 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds, and new carpeting, this amazing property offers a comfortable stay. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like heating, iron, washing machine and dryer in basement, hair dryer, and downstairs AC, bedding and towels. The bathroom is well-equipped for your needs. It is close to snowmobile and UTV trails, as well as Lake Michigamee and Michigamme River for fishing. Peter's True Value at 174 Evergreen St, is just up the road for gas or any hardware and misc. food supplies. Circle K gas station is 10 miles on the corner of Hwy 95 and Hwy 41. Marquette MI is 37 miles and beautiful Picture Rock is 81m (1.75hrs). Copper Harbor and the sites along the way is 131m (2.5hrs). Porcupine Mtns is about 2hrs. This older home has no doors on the bedrooms. It does not have internet, but there are plenty of DVD's for adults and children. There are two televisions with DVD players. One in the living room and one is upstairs queen room. It is not handicap accessible. The yard is fenced for your dog. Pet friendly, Lots of parking for cars, trucks or trailers. There are no other renters or homes on this property or the lake. This is a very nice family retreat or for large groups, if you need accommodate more then 24 dont hesitate to ask. Need to bring a camper shouldn’t be a problem, just put it in the inquiry. There is a fire pit and firewood is provided, sauna with a changing room, 3 gas grills, it includes a 1 story cabin that is right next to the lodge, it has a living room, full kitchen, full bathroom, 1 bedroom with 2 queen size beds. The main lodge is also a 1 story structure, has a large great room, dining room, 2 full kitchens, 6 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a half bath with the washer and dryer located in this bathroom, 1 of the full kitchens, entryway , the 1/2 bath with the washer and dryer, great room, dining room is in the center of the lodge. Then on one end of the lodge you have 2 bedrooms, each has a king size bed, there is also a full bath and full kitchen on this end, on the other end of the lodge there are 4 bedrooms, each bedroom have a king size bed and a set of twin bunk beds, there are 2 full bathrooms on this end. This lodge has a 30 acre spring fed lake all to yourself, there are bluegill, sunfish, and perch in the lake, we dot not allow any boats to be to the lake other than our own to control the spread of invasive species. The 160 Acre Property offers your own lake and stream. Enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, campfires and hiking through beautiful hardwoods. Row boats, canoes and firewood are provided. WILDLIFE:The property is remote and heavily, wooded, therefore presenting a higher possibility of a wildlife encounter. It is common for deer, snakes, moose, blackbear, skunks, and other wildlife common to UP to pass thru the perimeters of the property. Please do not approach, but instead enjoy sightings from a distance. Do not leave food outside as it will attract unwanted pests.Insects and other pests are common in wildlife, and no refunds will be given for bothersome insects.CLEANING:We take cleaning before guest visits very seriously and all touchable surfaces are disinfected before guests arrive. All bathroom floor rugs, toss pillows, and all beddings, including mattress pads are machine washed on high temp with scent-free detergent after each guest checkout. Floors are steam cleaned to avoid heavy-fragrant cleaning smells. Cleaning supplies are left for guests use if needed.
