Howard Johnson by Wyndham Reno Downtown

Reno Trip Our stay was terrible, I didn't realize that this was hooked to a Travel Lodge and managed by the same people. There was a total of 5 of us we had 3 rooms. This was just pictures of our room. One of the other rooms had duck tape aorund the window. In our room the only thing that looked new was the mirror and sink, but the mirror was jsut barely hanging on the wall. I always thought that Howard Johnson by Wyndam was a great place to stay, I would not refer this place to anyone. If I was your company I would take the Howard Johnson name off of this property

Good place if you don’t have a family Room looked like it had not been clean at all. I did notice that not all the windows had locks please address this. Shower did not work at all was only there for a few nights and couldn’t get that much help from the office staff. I would recommend hiring a security to address the homeless that are just hanging out in the smoking section and the premises I go out to vape on the little bric area and there just some homeless guy chilling there and there should at least have the office staff tell em to leave I pay for comfort not to have a crack had chllin lookin like he gooding to stick up the place

Spend the extra money and stay in the Silver Legacy or El Dorado, and don't leave the hotel grounds. Better yet, stay at the Grand Sierra Resort or Peppermill. Downtown Reno ain't what it used to be, nothing to see or do while feeling safe.

My stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Reno Downtown was decent overall. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite, though not particularly warm. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities, but it felt a bit outdated and could use some renovation. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too small for my liking. One of the highlights was the location—very convenient and close to Reno downtown. However, the noise from the street could be heard at night, which made it a bit difficult to sleep. Breakfast had a good variety, but the quality was just average. The dining area was a bit small, and service was ok. The Wi-Fi was free but inconsistent, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it was a decent stay—nothing exceptional, but also nothing major to complain about. It’s a good choice for a short trip if you’re not looking for anything too fancy. ⭐⭐⭐/5
