Lovely food and helpful staff. Atmosphere cosy and friendly and staff worked well, nothing too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend and will be going again to sample something else off the menu.

Wanted somewhere to stay after visiting Hardwick House. This hotel was ideal, reasonably priced and a restaurant. My room was roomy, everything I needed and a very comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was of a high standard with a good choice and was very good. Service was excellent and breakfast was more than adequate but that was an optional extra but worth it. My only slight complaint was the pressure of water in the shower wasn’t wonderful!!

I gave this review a one rating but the hotel staff and amenities deserve a four so why a one? BANG BANG BOOM BOOM DISCO 😡 The hotel superb and the upgraded room lovely as per the photo but a quirky sink as when you turned the cold tap on it gushed out the sink all over the bathroom floor. Step over bath which I couldn’t use as I have trouble getting my leg over at my age lol so couldn’t shower 😡 All the rooms have self closing doors and you get continuous banging doors late into the night 😡 The hotel is lovely with staff very helpful smiling and attentive👍 We had a Buy A Gift deal which included a glass of wine three course set menu or £25 credit PP and the set menu although limited was excellent value 👍 The baked mushroom starter superb and the roast massive but served at 7pm on a Sunday a little tired 🙈 The breakfast absolutely fantastic continental as well as a superb cooked as much as you want 👌 Now we come to the part which completely ruined our nights stay😡 Any other night without having to listen to a BANG BANG BOOM BOOM disco almost under our room went on till midnight. We would be giving this review as four possibly five if this disco hadn’t been on. When I had a niggle in the morning we were asked so you wasn’t at the party then? If we had known this diso was on we deffo wouldn’t of booked the same night which again completely ruined our stay🙈 Hay ho to close I would definitely recommend this hotel but trigger warning check when booking what events are on 🫶 PS I have just read a previous review on the same subject so be warned 👍

Booked for afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary. Lovely fresh food, plenty of tea. Friendly attentive staff and decent price.

We went for Sunday lunch. Lovely dining area and the food was excellent as usual. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will go there again.
