Fletcher Strandhotel Renesse

Booked for 2 rooms with breakfast for 4 people; At the reception they wanted to charge us for 2 extra breakfasts: it was a good thing that we could prove that this had already been paid for when booking. The breakfast itself was as it should be and therefore fine. Then the restaurant: although it had a promising menu, the food served was sad, poor and barely edible. Example: a few large shrimps with dry spaghetti was called Gamba a la spaghetti: it was such a sad meal that they admitted it themselves and did not charge for it. The rooms need major renovation, especially the bathrooms. Anyone who takes a shower - behind the plastic curtain - immediately floods the rest of the bathroom floor. This hotel needs its own "Delta plan". The staff is generally friendly, but unfortunately there are a few who do not know Dutch and that is in Zeeland, the Netherlands. At the same time, I would like to emphasize once again that the name of the hotel is misleading: there is no BEACH in the immediate vicinity of the FLETCHER BEACH HOTEL.

Spend 1 night in this simple hotel but with a very good price/quality ratio. good location, quiet & yet close to the center of Renesse, quiet room that was nicely cleaned. Our room was on the ground floor and had a nice terrace with a table & 2 chairs. friendly staff .

All in all, we were not satisfied with our stay at the Fletcher Strandhotel. First the good: + Good, quiet location, close to the town center of Renesse. The beach is not exactly within walking distance of the hotel, however + Friendly staff + The breakfast was varied. It was a shame, however, that cold or hot chocolate was not included in the breakfast. For those who don't like coffee or tea, this would be good. In general, a lot of the breakfast (jam, honey, etc. and even a rusk or crispbread) was individually wrapped in plastic. There are certainly better solutions here. Negative points: - The amount ultimately requested for the stay differed from the amount shown when booking. At reception we were told that the overnight price constantly changes within minutes. We wondered what this pricing policy was all about. We would have liked to have been made aware of this practice when booking. If we had booked later, the price would have been significantly lower (about 50% less). Here you are apparently punished depending on what you book early. - The rooms and the building are a bit run down. Tarnished screw in the washbasin, dirty joints in the shower and shower hose, which could probably be replaced. So it wasn't very clean. This is called a comfort room. We certainly have different expectations of a comfort room. - The price-performance ratio was poor. For 180 euros per night we expected a more comfortable and clean room. - The internet was accessible via an open WiFi. A closed WiFi would probably be safer here. In conclusion, the negative points clearly outweigh the positives. We therefore do not recommend the Fletcher Strandhotel and will not book anything there again.

Very good experience with this Hotel several times. the breakfast and dinner are also very good. Friendly staff. big advantage free parking. Quiet area. rooms are clean and large enough, rooms with a terrace on the ground floor are nice.

This hotel is well located: close to the city center (10' walk) and the large beach (25'). The staff changes almost every day and none speak French; if some express themselves in English, it is very approximate.... therefore, little contact for us. The room is spacious but simple with little storage and no safe (at reception, perhaps?). The bedding is comfortable despite a worn mattress. The bathroom, a little dated (shower curtain, etc.), does the job (RAS). With half board, we were treated to a simple dinner, not very varied but plentiful. The breakfast is classic and should satisfy everyone with the choice offered.

We bought a voucher on Black Friday. What a scam! We had a lot of trouble booking 2 rooms. We first had a reservation at the beginning of February 2023. This was canceled a few days in advance, without suggesting another hotel. We finally managed to go for 1 day at the end of February. What an outdated hotel!!! We paid extra to upgrade the rooms. The rooms we were given were on the ground floor along a very busy road. Although we had already booked with Fletcher about 6 times, booking Fletcher is no longer an option in the future!!!!!

Four of us and two children stayed at the Fletcher for one night. The reception was super nice and everyone was very friendly. You definitely felt welcome. The room is old but clean. The mattresses were very worn out. That doesn't normally bother me, but it did strike me as a negative. In the bathroom, a glass shelf above the toilet was about to break and was not safe with children. The balcony is very large and we had a view of the pond. Breakfast was sufficient and delicious. Apart from the scrambled eggs, that really wasn't good. In terms of drinks, there was everything you could need. We would come again if the price was right.

We ended up here with a voucher from SocialDeal. As a result, the price was not too bad, but the quality is not really what I have come to expect from Fletcher. We had a very outdated room that felt dark and gloomy. It's fine for a night's sleep, but I don't think it's suitable for a long weekend. The food was dramatic. My wife's pasta contained something that made her feel uncomfortable while eating. We therefore immediately ordered a replacement dish (fries). They did not charge this, which is thoughtful. My fish fingers had literally not been in the fat long enough to thaw them completely, the inside was still slightly frozen, only the outside was warm. Almost the entire service in the restaurant was in English because Fletcher apparently can no longer recruit Dutch people. That makes it difficult if you want to complain about the food.
