Hotel Le Parisien

I chose this small hotel solely because of the price. However, this is not the only advantage of this hotel. It is not very far from the train station, although it was not important for us, because we arrived and left Reims by bus. We were met by a handsome young man at the reception. The hotel is typical for France, there are many of them in Paris. Narrow stairs, toilet on the floor, but there is a sink in the room. A minimum of furniture. It's quite normal.

Booked a quadraple room for my family with 2 young children to break up a long journey back to england. On arrival was told I couldn't have quadraple room we had booked but were given 2 doubles next to each other, since it was getting dark and we were all shattered we agreed and split up 1 adult and 1 child in each double. The rooms were awful, beds soft and everything was grubby. 1 room had a shower and toilet behind a curtain, the other only had a sink. The area felt dodgy with some fairly unsavoury characters hanging around outside which made me feel extremely uneasy about our van parked opposite. The noise was terrible, doors slamming, babies crying people shouting all night and in the middlen of the night our entire room smelt of cigarettes, must have been someone smoking in the room below. Needless to stay I didn't sleep a wink and my husband and I packed up at 4am and left. Complete waste of money as we felt more tired on leaving than before, should have saved the extortionate €70 and driven straight to the eurotunnel. Also worst of all is I am covered in bites so the room must have been full of bed bugs, just disgusting.
