I booked the Old Rectory for a double celebration for my daughter’s 18th and husband’s 50th. Ellie was so helpful from the start showing us the venue and choices we had. Planning the food and drinks for the day. Making the planning a seamless process. I asked for mocktails which weren’t on the drinks list and that was no trouble. Ellie came back with mocktail options from flavours we liked. On the day of the party the drinks were so delicious and went down so well.. looked good too ! On the day of the celebration meal, Lisa went above and beyond our expectations for the day of the party. Setting up the Orangery for us and storing our cake for us til the cake cutting, taking family pics it was the attention to detail and helpfulness that really amazed me.We would definitely book again for any family event. Our guests loved the beautiful gardens and facilities. The staff are so friendly and helpful nothing was any trouble when you asked for anything, best thing with a smile and happy voice. Our daughter and 2 friends stayed the night in the hotel. They loved the room and facilities. This place is definitely a gem !

If you are planning a wedding or family celebration, run, don’t walk to the Old Rectory house. The venue and grounds are stunning. We had our wedding here 26th May , and from start to finish Ellie was always an email away if we needed her, no request was too much. The food was exceptional and all dietary needs are carefully taken care of . The bedrooms are spacious and clean well kept. The staff are all lovely and friendly, Manager Lisa and event planner Ellie make sure everything is run smoothly and really do go above and beyond to make your day as special as it could be.

We booked this venue for our wedding next year in August. Tonight we came to see how the venue will host our special day. We are now more than confident that our decision to book the venue was a great decision. We met Lisa and Ellie who run and organise your wedding event. They are so friendly and helpful. We also met with the caterer, registrar and a professional wedding cake supplier. We met and spoke with a lovely lady who turned out to be the owner. This personal touch adds greatly to the special feeling this venue gives you.

I honestly couldn't run quick enough to leave a review for Old Rectory House following our Wedding on Sunday 5th May 2024. Throughout the entire planning process, they could not help enough - Ellie was always an email away and was absolutely amazing in helping us plan our dream day - no request seemed too much (and there were a couple of odd ones on our end) and she took as much stress off our shoulders as she could - thank you Ellie!!! On the day, we had Lisa running around and organising how the day ran and all of our guests - again, I didn't have to feel nervous about anything, she was amazing and absolutely on it throughout the day - I could tell she wanted everything to be as perfect as we did - thank you Lisa, you were amazing! Between the two of them, despite the amount of work they did, they didn't feel like 'wedding venue staff' it was almost like they were part of wedding party, and we loved that! Obviously, all of the staff at Old Rectory House were incredible throughout the event and also deserve an immense amount of praise. Thanks all of you - it was a perfect day that we will never forget and it would not have been possible without you. ❤️

We recently got married here and had the best day ever! We loved every minute, the venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. Many of our guests commented on how nice the venue was and how helpful the staff were. Zoe and Greg coordinated the day for us and were really great, they made the day that extra bit special! The bedrooms are nice also and the location is very quiet after lights out. We would recommend anyone to book an event here.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary with 60 guests. The staff ensured all our requirements for food, drink, seating and access were met. We have had a good number of positive comments from our guests about the food as well as about the house and grounds. I would have awarded 5 stars if the toilet facilities were better (unisex plus the disabled toilet in another building) We would recommend it for small / medium sized functions.

My husband and I had our small wedding here in September 2024 and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we first saw the venue at an open day, we knew it was the one. We hired the outdoor areas and it was honestly just perfect. Nothing was too much trouble in the planning process, Ellie was just an email away and would always respond quickly and was also always very friendly. On the day, we didn’t need to worry about anything, it went so smoothly and Ellie was always on hand for anything we needed. We’re so happy our vision for our wedding truly exceeded our expectations. The team were fantastic on the day and honestly can’t thank them enough, I think our guests would also like to give a big shout out to bar man Greg! It was a day we will never forget, and will be recommending the venue to other couples, thank you so much! 😊

Just got back from a one-night stay at Old Rectory House after visiting with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Organising the event over e-mail with Ellie was easy. She responded quickly to messages, and made sure that all of our dietary requirements were catered for. We had canapés, dinner and breakfast, and everything was delicious. Greg, the bar manager, was so welcoming and friendly, and even let the children help with making mocktails. Nothing was too much trouble, and he even mixed up cocktails that weren't on the menu. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, and the rooms clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back. We really did feel like it was a 'home from home'. I'm very happy to have found this place and would love to return at some point in the future.

We booked old rectory house for exclusive use for our wedding ceremony and reception. Ellie was amazing from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble and she was very quick at replying to emails with any concerns/questions. She was on hand on the day too and she was amazing. She even helped us set up the venue the day before! The day went beautifully and we had the best day ever. The food was amazing 🤩 we had so many compliments on all aspects of the day regarding the venue and food and service. Gregg the bar man was fab! Mr & Mrs B ❤️
