TownePlace Suites Redding

Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was pleasant and allowed us to check in early. We rented a 1 king bed suite...when we got into the room it was very clean. Had a full fridge, stove,oven, microwave and dishwasher. Couch and bed was comfortable...pillows were fantastic. For someone with neck issues, it was nice to have full neck support. Our suite was the handicap suite (204) which we didn't need but it was nice to see the higher level of service for those that don't move around so easily. Breakfast was the standard continental type, but they did make eggs without that nasty swine which most hotels usually mix into the eggs making them inedible for us as Hebrews. The only thing I could find that needs to be improved on is their cheese grater in the room it functioned like a dollar store item, it's a good thing I brought my own from home as I knew I was going to need a really good grater for the horseradish for Passover.

If everyone working at every Marriott was DEV0N from this Marriott, the world would be a better place and travel would be fun again! You get fancy huge hotel treatment at this quaint, perfect spot. Devon’s smile and dinner suggestions A+!!!

Stayed here for just a single night while seeing a show at the Redding Civic Auditorium. I've stayed at another TownePlace Suites on a bit more long-term basis so it felt like a little bit of a waste to only stay one night given the in-room amenities, but it was still a great experience. The room was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, and it actually ended up being really nice to have a larger fridge (with an actual freezer!) because we had a large amount of takeout food that wouldn't have fit in a standard hotel mini fridge very well. There's a decent little fitness center where I got a quick workout in before leaving. The breakfast was very good and had a ton of options. Hilltop Drive is just a block away, so it was really easy to get around, and of course there's plenty of shopping and dining in that area around Hilltop and Dana. But the hotel itself is located on a very quiet street in kind of a business park with a bunch of real estate offices, dentists, etc. I don't typically have any reason to travel specifically to Redding, but if I ever find myself there again, I will definitely keep this place in mind!

The property is aging, but it is clean and we appreciate the full-sized fridge. The cookies at check in were a nice touch. The bed and pillows were comfortable (but the mattress was on the extra firm side), and the staff was pleasant. One note is that the cleaning chemicals they use have a very strong/heavy scent. It was overwhelming to me.

Room clean and large for a hotel room. Full breakfast was great. My only negative was that the bed was super firm which made my back ache. Big positive for me was that unlike other hotels I have been to lately the lighting was really good. If you are in Redding this is a good option.
