If your most frequently used phrase is “let me speak to your manager” this probably isn’t the place for you. If you like convenience, budget, and are looking for a comfortable place to sleep, book now. We just checked in for a night and the room is huge, there’s AC, the water in the shower is like a hot niagara falls and there’s a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker with supplies. We’ve been in Montana for a week and this is the first place we’ve stayed with a full length mirror. Reading through all these other reviews makes me sad that we’ve become such complainers as a society. Instead of perfection, aim for 80% and your life will be so much happier.

The rooms and common areas were very clean. The beds comfortable; in fact, the bedding was way nicer than expected for this type of hotel. Amazingly, the whole place smelled good! (No hauntings from smokers past). The pool was closed. Plan to get breakfast elsewhere; the complimentary spread wasn’t much.

This place is just awful. Do not stay here! I had made reservations a month ahead of time. The person on the phone was pleasant, he was not the rude man who checked us in. He came to the desk, never said hello, just looked at us. We said we had a reservation. He asked for our license and proceeded to work at the computer. He then handed us keys and gave room number. He told us not to go in or out any of the other doors because then our key wouldn't work. We thought that was strange. Walking down the hallway was disgusting. The carpet was filthy and the walls had poor repairs done that still needed to be sanded. Our room had old furniture and the carpet was dirty. The vanity was chipped. There was a kitchenette with a sink but the water wasn't working. Microwave was on top of refrigerator, both were very old. We left to get dinner, came back and our key didn't work. Went back to desk and same man accused us of going out one of the other doors which we did not do. He was very unprofessional and rude again. Everything in this place is run down. Breakfast was a joke - two kinds of cereal and small little muffins. We didn't eat any of it based on the cleanliness of the entire place. Again, go somewhere else!

I wish I could give this hotel a negative star. The room was absolutely disgusting. From the rug to the bathroom nothing was clean. We stripped the bed to make sure there wasn't bed bugs! We tried to stay just to get a couple hours of sleep but the stench was horrid. Smoke/mold I even think pot was in the mix. My mom has COPD and couldn't breath 20 minutes after being in the room. I wont even talk about the filth and smell in the hallway! We left 25 minutes into checking in. I was told I would get my money back "if someone else checked in" (not sure how getting a refund should depend on someone else checking in..???) Because he "wouldnt take free money". Defintely did not get any sort of refund. $158 to find the nastiest hotel I've ever been in!

Rooms were tired and old, not the cleanest either. BREAKFAST was disgusting, polystyrene cups, plates and cereal bowels which were leaking everywhere. Plastic knives and forks. No water in the breakfast area, toasters did not work, bread, butter, cereal and milk, jam which was stale, muffins tiny ones were stale. Thats it.

I am not a person who normally writes reviews. But, our experience at the hotel was so terrible - I felt I needed to do so. This is not even a one star hotel. The owners and management were extremely rude. The facilities were out dated and very poor. We reserved three days to go to Yellowstone. We were told Yellowstone is only one hour away. No, closer to two. They charged us for an additional day - they couldn't keep their day/calendar dates straight. I could go on and on. You get the point. Please beware, this will not be a good experience for you or your family.

Very clean, pleasant management and honest. I left something behind and Charlie found it right away and they called before I was too far away to retrieve item. Would recommend staying. Nice rooms friendly staff. Red Lodge is a nice place.

I stayed here with girlfriends for the Christmas Stroll. This place is old and smells odd. We booked because it had a hot tub and complimentary breakfast. No breakfast and the hot tub wasn't working. Definitely will not book again! Very misleading information on their web page.
