We had such a lovely time in our brief stopover at this gorgeous bed and breakfast. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and spoke excellent English. It’s a beautiful, tranquil stop - perfect for a relaxing evening. It’s easy to access from the motorway so a perfect stopover if you’re visiting the south of France from the UK or returning home. We booked the evening meal option which was a lovely treat! We enjoyed a three course home cooked meal out in the garden accompanied by great local wines. The food was delicious - as was the wine! And very good value too! There’s a lovely pool and a garden to walk around and it’s very quiet as it’s in a small little hamlet off the beaten track. We stayed in the rose room on the second floor up the spiral staircase in the turret which was very comfortable with lovely bed linen. There was an extensive breakfast with eggs, cold meats and cheeses, croissants, bread, yoghurts, home made jams and a chocolate cake! You can park your car in the gated garden outside the house so it’s nice and safe. A lovely trip - I’d happily return!

My wife and I had the great pleasure of staying yesterday at this exceptional B&B near Chateauroux in France for an overnight stop. The house, a classical chateau from the 19th century, is extremely beautiful, as are the garden and park surrounding it. The French owners, Mr and Mrs d'Ussel, are charming, friendly and welcoming. They are talented cooks and wine experts and run their establishment in the best Swiss hotelier tradition. An elegant dining room, where guests enjoy delicious French cuisine and wine from the owners' AOC classified vineyard in the Languedoc, is set with crystal, porcelain and damask table cloth and napkins. The bedroom we had (a junior suite) was equally well furnished and equipped with a comfortable bed, fine bed linen and ensuite bathroom of a high standard. All in all, we were exceptionally impressed by our stay at l'Abeaupiniere. Indeed, having stayed at many exclusive hotels over the years, we can firmly state that we have seldom, if ever, encountered such hospitality, attention to detail and concern for the comfort and satisfaction of their guests, as we did yesterday in the shape of the d'Ussels. We warmly recommend their lovely B&B to anyone looking for a truly special place to stay in their region of France.

Chateau remarquablement entretenu. Très belle chambre avec lit confortable. Petit déjeuner avec produits de qualite. Excellent accueil par les propriétaires. C est un endroit qui donne la meilleure image du Berry d autant qu il est situé à proximité du Château de Valancay

Excellent me parait faible, je dirais exceptionnel !!!! De la qualité de l’accueil par philibert et Brigitte , aux mets servis avec beaucoup d’attention par nos hôtes et cuisinés par leurs soins , pas de fausse note juste ouahou !!! 😍 mention particulière pour la truffe servie de plusieurs façons À l’apéro devant la cheminée, et un 10/10 pour le pigeon rôti désossé et accompagné de légumes glacés et nappés d’une sauce en réduction de haut niveau !! Le château était éclairé autant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur de façon magique pour nous recevoir en ce samedi de janvier ! Les décorations de Noël sublimaient encore à la magie des lieux !!! Les suites étaient très confortables et le petit déjeuner top ! À connaître absolument dans cet écrin de verdure et avec la gentillesse des hôtes !!! Un grand moment !!😍

Prachtige lokatie, heerlijk eten, goede verzorging, ultieme rust, perfecte gastvrouw- en heer. Het ontbijt was meer dan compleet met croissants en stokbrood en meerdere soorten jams alsook kazen en ham.

Du repos, et du confort, tout est parfait. Que ce soit l'accueil très chaleureux de nos hôtes ou le confort des chambres ou les petits déjeuners comme on les aime, rien à rajouter. La piscine et la clim ont été bienvenues . Ne changez rien. C'est à Vatan.... mais on reviendra !

L Abeaupiniere est un lieu magnifique, hors du temps dont la beauté n'a d'égal que la gentillesse de ses propriétaires ! Nous avons apprecie le calme, le confort et le cadre exceptionnel . Les chambres sont très confortables et le petit-déjeuner excellent et copieux. Le dîner de la table d hote servi dans un salon magnifique, était délicieux ! Après avoir profité de la superbe piscine nous avons aussi pu faire une promenade apaisante dans le parc ! Merci encore pour votre accueil.C'est avec plaisir que nous reviendrons à l Abeaupinière si nous repassons dans le Berry.

Nous avons passé un superbe moment dans ce château. Les hôtes sont vraiment très accueillants et très sympathique toujours à veiller que nous ne manquions de rien.Le repas du soir excellent , chambre très propre , literie superbe. Nous recommandons vraiment cet endroit.Le petit-déjeuner est super , piscine au top vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés , nous recommandons cet endroit nous reviendrons !!!!!
