Perfectly clean, very comfortable, everything you need for overnight stays - including Baylis & Harding shower creme and hand wash. However our room was incredibly cold: we had to constantly turn up the thermostat but the increase in temperature was dreadfully slow and the heater kept turning itself down. On our second night we had to go to bed in jumpers - the outside temperature was 2° and our room temperature would not rise above 14° - a very cold night indeed. Breakfast was an excellent experience: huge choice of continental and cooked, served quickly and pleasantly. As a coelliac - intolerant to gluten - I cannot fault the carefulness of the staff and indeed the choice I had: absolutely incredible, thank you. The staff overall were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they were all very pleasant and happy in their work. Overall a great, although rather cold, experience.

Stayed for 2 nights over Christmas - great value and loved the quiet room we had at the rear of the hotel overlooking fields. Very comfy bed, lovely dark and quiet room meant we both had 2 very good nights sleep. Car parking was convenient and easy and we were warmly welcomed by the cheerful and friendly receptionist. Would recommend and we will stay here again as it’s close to family we visited.

We came over the Christmas break to spend it with friends and family and was not disappointed, the staff where welcoming and very friendly I would like to mention specially Val (the Spanish lady) she was always smiling and very friendly but in general the staff were great. The room was impecable clean and the price for the holiday season was very respectable, the hotel is a 10 minutes drive to our friends house therefore we will be coming few times a year, 1st time we have stayed here but it won’t be the last as could not fault anything and as a mentioned the staff makes the place they are all a credit to you. Thank you and we will see you again very soon!!!

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, thanks to the clean and beautifully turned-out facilities and the exceptional staff. The room was great, and the mattress was the best I have ever slept on. However, my stay was somewhat marred by the hotel's location next to the Toby Carvery. The car park of the Toby Carvery seems to be a popular gathering spot for youngsters with modified cars and motorbikes, who unfortunately tend to rev their engines and show off their straight-through exhausts. This noise can be quite disruptive, especially for light sleepers. Moreover, I was awakened at 6:00 AM by a truck parked under my window, which caused a significant amount of noise and belched fumes into my room. As an asthma sufferer, this was particularly problematic and forced me to keep my windows closed, which was less than ideal in the warm weather. Despite these issues, the hotel staff were incredibly kind and understanding when I brought my concerns to their attention. They informed me that Toby Carvery receives deliveries on Tuesdays and Thursdays and suggested that guests who are sensitive to noise request rooms facing the river for a more peaceful experience. Overall, while the hotel itself is lovely and the staff are wonderful, the noise from the neighboring Toby Carvery is something to keep in mind when booking a stay. I would recommend this hotel, but would caution light sleepers or those with respiratory issues to request a room away from the car park. In the photo one of the trucks left but this one remained behind

Really clean hotel. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Hotel well placed for visiting Henley and Reading. Plenty of free parking at the hotel too. I would stay here again. Good price too as we booked well in advance.

Stayed in new plus room all lights are warm bulbs so there is no suitable lighting to apply make up. Also because the desk/dressing table has been removed, it has been replaced by a thin shelf with a hairdryer attached that takes up most of the room. Also worse premier inn breakfast I have ever had - table service not buffet but was cold and tasteless. Bed amazing though as usual, slept like a log.
