I have stayed here a few times - its a good half way point from Canberra to Coffs Harbour. This visit wasn't the best unfortunately. Quite noisy (not the owner's fault - school holidays). The bed was NOT comfortable at all. The sink/ shower leaked so there was actually a coating of water all over the floor in the bathroom during the night. Could do with a bit of a make over/ update.

Every little detail has been thought of, from the light at foot level so that it doesnt disturb orhers that comes on when you go to the toilet at night. Where the bed is positioned all well thought of as again bathroom light would not disturb sleep. Storage for suitcase bottom of open wardrobe. Fully kitted out kitchen unseen in other apartments as to what is provided. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Girls at reception also very hospitable.

Stayed here last night - well situated on the main road passing through town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy walk to local shops and the Bowlo. Pool very clean and area fenced. Room very cleaned.

Friendly staff, great location within easy walk from Airport, Nicely designed comfortable rooms. A great stopover before my Business Conference over the weekend, especially since flights to my home destination were not available for immediate collection and drop off. It was great to unwind from a busy week before and after the conference.

Exceptional stay here again at the ibis, Quick and easy check in with friendly service and request sorted with no hassles to have room on carpark side and away from the traffic noise of the highway. Room spotless clean and perfect for the stay.hotwater and heater works perfect in 238 as it the weather did drop early in the morning for the heater to go on just to get the heat flowing in the room. Comfy enough bed with decent pillows. For travellers who havent been here before..shops are about a 5 minute walj through the park eg: coles maccas aldi pubs ect.otherwise 2 shell express a few mins walk up the main drag,tho.onsite has vending machines for lollies noodles sodas ect. Good stay for a good price

I'll start by saying, Thank you Rydges Newcastle - we enjoyed our stay so much. We booked 3 nights stay over the long weekend and despite having some hiccup in the room booking (which was sorted swiftly) - we loved our stay. Rooms were clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Our room overlooked the harbour and had a good view. Housekeeping service was prompt. Buffet breakfast was good though I was a little disappointed I couldn't get the pancake machine working and hence missed out on my favourite breakfast - pancake :( Our biggest disappointment was the TV - we had two in the room but neither could be used to cast from our mobile devices (Android, or iOS). It was disappointing because we can only watch free to air channels or pay a premium price for movies (around $35) - I hope this will improve in future as most hotels allows casting. The hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Things that can be improved: - Sofa bed - not very comfortable for sleeping. The blanket had dusty smell. - Pool - not heated and no shade. - Place food labels on breakfast buffet - it helps people like me to pick the right food (I don't eat beef)- example beef sausage vs chicken sausage. - Lid for take away coffee - Update Wharf Bar drink menu in the hotel website. Staff were busy but friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to many good restaurants along the waterfront. We also enjoyed the cocktail, beer and coffee from Wharf Bar. We are already looking to book our next stay here.

Very good, a very good place to stay in Newcastle. The room here is relatively clean, there will be few stains on the quilt cover, but it is still acceptable. There is a separate toilet, which is relatively small but very good. Very quiet and very close to Newcastle University. Air conditioning, TV and refrigerator in the bedroom are all available, as well as blankets, coffee cups and instant coffee There are washing machines and dryers in the room, as well as a living room, dining room and kitchen. The layout is very good and the environment is very good. There are all kinds of kitchen utensils, including ovens, coffee machines, dishwashers, microwave ovens, etc. The landlord is very enthusiastic, you can consult him if you have any questions However, the landlord of this B&B is not always in the room, and you need to make an appointment in advance to get the room key (the landlord needs to give you the password of the lockbox for storing the key), which needs attention

Awesome accommodation, amazing and compassionate staff (especially Demi). The rooms are always clean. There can be better rooms for the same price/cheaper elsewhere but I always prioritise The Lucky when booking as they always look after us. Additional bonus, they have a lift for accessibility.
