Casa Masoli

Excellent 5-night stay here in Ravenna. Ideal location for exploring all the UNESCO heritage sites. Walking distance from the railway station. Very comfortable room on top floor. Luggage winched upstairs by the helpful Aurelia. Breakfasts varied and plentiful. Great restaurant recommendations supplied. Would definitely recommend.

From the moment we arrived, Anna, the hotel manager, met us outside and personally helped us unload our luggage using this nifty lift that takes suitcases up the stairs for you. As soon as I stepped into the room my jaw dropped - it was HUGE and luxurious! You feel like you're living as a 19th century aristocrat. The first thing I did was offload all my stuff and took an incredible bath in the marble bathtub. The bathroom itself was bigger than our entire hotel room in Venice! Oh and if you don't like baths...there is a shower too. And a separate tea room! We didn't have dinner reservations for our first night in Ravenna so Anna took it upon herself to personally phone the restaurant next door and got us a last minute reservation - and the dinner ended up being one of our favorites of the entire trip. The breakfast selection was excellent - the pastries were delicious and she made us cappuccinos. My biggest regret was that we only planned to stay in Ravenna for a day! I was so bummed, I could have stayed longer just for the amazing hotel experience. Thank you Anna for a wonderful stay, we hope to come again!

Lovely and spacious room with very helpful staff. Breakfast was nice and we walked to lots of shopping and dining nearby. We liked the restaurant Bellamia for lunch.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Masoli for one week in January in Ravenna. We selected the ground floor suite. Besides being very spacious, it was filled with treasures, books, paintings, sofas, and many historical objects from the family home. Our room was spotless, with private bath, lovely shower, and amenities such as coffeemaker, fridge, closet space. The hot water was instant and plentiful. Since we were in Ravenna for a week, we could spread out. The owner, Anna, couldn’t have been nicer and couldn’t do enough for us, explaining where to go for all the mosaics, restaurant recommendations and making reservations for them. Breakfast was included in a sunny dining room on the 1st floor. Anna made us lovely large cups of cappuccino every morning and there was always a selection of fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, toast, eggs to order, fresh fruit, yogurt, and more. Since there were six rooms, we could chat at breakfast with other guests but each guest had their own table. The neighborhood was safe and extremely close to the center of Ravenna. We walked everywhere. It was not crowded as we were there in January. It was chilly, in the 40’s and 50’s. Back home in Pennsylvania, we had left bitter cold and snow! We wanted to experience high quality B&Bs, with comfort and value, not cookie cutter hotels without charm. This is perfect for a wonderful experience in an amazing historical home but with all the modern comforts, including heat and AC. I cannot say enough wonderful words about our stay at Casa Masoli. "Perfect" hardly suffices. Anna is the most kind and gracious hostess I have ever encountered. She was essential in arranging a tour of the city sights, recommending a fantastic spot for our dinner and helping us secure our rental car (when the office was unexpectedly closed). The casa is in a very convenient location and the property is exceptionally beautiful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Because my husband has difficulty navigating stairs, we were given a ground floor room and staff was helpful in arranging for us to have a very bountiful breakfast in our room. Overall, we felt incredibly blessed to have had such an amazing place to stay while we visited Ravenna.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Unfortunatelly we came 8 hr late due to delayed flight, but our hostess did wait for us with a big smile. Our suite was beyond what we had hoped for, and as many others has written -the breakfast was amazing Also a big thank you for helpng us with getting a car to the cruise-port. (We have now learned that it is not easy i Ravenna, so remember to do so the day before) Hope to come back soon!
