This is the most beautiful historic hotel in.the heart of Ravenna Monica the owner has been incredibly helpful and the Bedroom is amazing with wonderful high ceilings Simply the place to stay in Ravenna. Great Restaurant and Bar with incredibly helpful.staff.

Quirky hotel - rooms comfortable but a little gloomy and some of the furniture and plumbing a little idiosyncratic. Staff are very helpful and friendly and keen that you enjoy your stay. Great location, very close to the centre. Breakfast choice is not very extensive but the brasserie food and wine selections are good. Enjoyed our stay here.

We loved the hotel. The room was large and elegant as was the bathroom. It has a great location right across from the food court and near the town square, walking distance to all the major churches. For me, one of the perks, was the art books. They have beautiful books on all the major Italian movements and books the great artists.

This hotel offers excellent service and they are very attentive to your every need. The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed. It had a lot of space and everything was very clean. The only issue we had is that it was very hot, no ac. It was hard to open the window because it was very cold at night, but we had to keep it open when we were in the room because otherwise it felt like a furnace inside. You receive a form to let them know what you want for breakfast and at what time. You have to be on time. They have a note on the form that you must keep the time you chose. When we went down to the restaurant, we were shown by Dora to the table where our breakfast was already set up. Everything was delicious. Dora was very attentive and kept coming around to ask if we needed/wanted something else. Great service! The location is perfect to visit Ravenna. It is very close to many restaurants and shops in the area. They have a restaurant at the hotel, so we canceled one of our reservations and ate there. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Taxis are hard to find when there is a cruise in port. One taxi driver refused to pick us up at the taxi stand across from the train station because we were not going to the port. So if you don't want to drag your suitcases for 10 minutes to the hotel, like we had to, ask the hotel to arrange a private transfer for you. That's what we did the morning we left and had to be at the station before 7:00am. The cost was 25 euros, but much better than being told that a taxi was coming and never shows up. We really enjoyed our stay in Ravenna thanks to the great service offered at the Albergo Cappello. Everyone is very nice, but Dora goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Thank you!

Stayed for 2 nights before going on a cruise leaving from Ravenna. Hotel recommended the transfer who was half the price I was quoted from other company’s from the airport and he was amazing. Arrived at hotel and staff were amazing to get our room ready before 2pm check in. Beautiful small town with loads of lovely bars and restaurant’s. Had breakfast in hotel which was perfect both mornings. Hotel in bang in the middle so all within walking distance. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and are amazing. Don’t miss this hidden gem if you’re looking for a place before you cruise. 10/10

What a find wow. From the minute we arrived to the moment we left we loved this family run hotel. We stayed 2 nights prior to our cruise. The room was so spacious and decorated with traditional style furniture, not to mention the frescoes that had been uncovered during the restoration of the hotel. We ate both nights in the on site restaurant, which served some delicious dishes. The bar is a great place to people watch A big shoutout to Dora who could not do enough for you also the bar staff who worked so hard

Took some finding, but after we arrived we were escorted into hotel, our car parked and it was two days of luxury. Our room was huge with candelabras and silk wallpaper. Very close to restaurants and bars. Breakfast was huge and delicious.

A fabulous small historic hotel in an amazing location, with an attentive staff and excellent chef. What more could you ask for? I'd return in a heartbeat. The hotel is situated right in the historic center (pedestrian only) and the surrounding streets are clean, quiet, picturesque, and lined with world-class shopping, restaurants, and cultural experiences.
