Hotel Villa Cimbrone
4.1/567 Reviews
We loved Villa Cimbrone overall. It is a bit of a walk from the centre of town up and down lots of steps so not great for those less fit but we loved it. There is no vehicular access except bu the tiny electric buggy which serve the town which is mostly pedestrianised. The hotel staff were so cheery and helpful. The location is romantic and sensational. The buildings are very atmospheric and the views stunning. The hotel is all you might expect from a very high end establishment with an excellent reputation. The service is superb and breakfast is a masterpiece. I find myself somewhat uncomfortable and embarrassed when the waiters insist on carrying my plate of toast or bowl of fruit up the half dozen steps between the buffet area and the dining terrace. This is a bit of added service, perhaps a bit too far, but it does really make you feel like royalty! The hotel is very expensive but is worth it for the way it makes you feel so special. If I had to highlight one issue which impacted negatively on our stay and drops the rating from five to four is is this. Ravello seems to have become the wedding capital of the world. People are getting married everywhere and Villa CImbrone is no exception. We were kept awake until midnight one night by an excessively loud live band. I mentioned this in the morning and received an apology but I do think some form of recompense would have been in order for this. It was not a good night's sleep. This aside Villa CImbrone is fabulous, with a price tag to match.
Villa Amore

This was the best experience for us, we had several rooms booked since we were In Ravello for a wedding. Antonio was always so quick to reply to my emails anytime I had questions or needed to change things, I almost thought it was too good to be true till we arrived and we were amazed at everything. The view, the service, clean and very cold rooms to wonderful breakfast every morning. There was nothing negative about this place and highly recommended it.
B&B Ravello Rooms
4.7/549 Reviews
I had the most relaxing four days in Ravello! Where can I start....the view (!!!), the veranda, the room filled with fresh sea air, Giuseppe's hospitality, the breakfasts, all were just wonderful! There were steps (just go slow), but don't let that deter you from staying here. It has the same view and very attentive service, moreso in fact than the downtown hotels costing 5-8x the price! Giuseppe also offered to pick me up from the train in Salerno rather than taking the local bus...I highly suggest to use that. On the way from the train station the coastal roads were jammed so we went to Ravello on the winding inland route where I saw Capri and Mt Vesuvius far in the distance! He also brought me into town one of the days and back to the train in Salerno. Overall, it was one of the nicest stays I have had anywhere. I wish I could have visited Ravello longer. I hope someday to return.
Gala Residence Villa Giovanna
4.6/544 Reviews
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the biggest reason we chose it is the photo of the pool that is their lead photo on TripAdvisor. It was disappointing upon arrival to learn that the pool is NOT on the property, but on a neighboring property. Guests of Gala can use the pool for 20 Euro per person, per day. No thanks! Otherwise, this is a beautiful and delightful place to stay. Our room was modern and VERY clean. Luisa - who was at the desk when we arrived, was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good and the deck to eat on, while very hot, was a beautiful view. There's a little feral cat on the property, Lucy, who brings a lot of joy to the guests. To note - if you're staying in Ravello because you want to visit the Amalfi Coast but you're on a budget, be aware that it is NOT easy to get up and down the mountain unless you want to spend 40 Euro on a taxi. The going rate is 20 Euro per person. The public bus is a mini-bus, as full size buses cannot get up the narrow roads. It runs hourly but only has 22 seats and they do not allow standing in the aisle and depending on the driver, do not allow luggage. We learned this the hard way trying to get up to Ravello from Amalfi. The bus was full within seconds, and we had luggage so we had to spend 50 Euro in taxi fare to get to Ravello. However, once you're in Ravello it's a quaint town with great views and some excellent restaurants, shops and cultural destinations.
Il Roseto B&B

Soggiorno perfetto!
Palazzo Della Marra

We stayed here 3 nights and to be totally honest I would stay a month if I could! The location of this beautiful little family owned hotel is incredible! Literally 1-minute walk from piazza duomo tons of food places within 5 minutes walk, and lots of shopping within the same 5-minutes walk. Gerardo was so extremely accommodating with everything that my review would go on for 10 pages and I won't do that to you... 😊 Breakfast was exactly watch you'd expect from a non 5-star hotel - there is an automatic coffee machine with at least six choices of coffee karma milk karma and chocolate milk. apart from that there are croissants with chocolate marmalade and plain as well as packaged ones with cream. there is bread and a toaster, slices of cheese, I think I saw sliced ham or salami of some type but we don't need that so not sure what it was, fresh fruits, variety flavours of yoghurt, fruit juices, slices of cake such as apple and chocolate... As you can see plenty of stuff. There are no eggs just fyi. There is a terrace at the very top that you can take your food up to to and there must say for us that rivalled any five star hotel. We just said up there and revelled in ravello and the beauty of the mountains all around. Gerardo also has two magnificent parrots that repeat what you say and talk to you and it's absolutely hysterical and super cute. As for the room itself, immaculately clean, the bed was super comfortable, very good strong air conditioning for such a small room which we basically shut most of the time, bathroom is also awesome with a very small shower stall but nice strong stream of water. We got the purple room and our bathroom tiles were absolutely beautiful and green. The medicine cabinet also has room for toiletries makeup etc, for you women... Basically I would stay here again and again when coming back to Ravello and honestly that's the only place to stay on the Amalfi Coast if you want quiet and not tons of tourists. Fyi my husband and I also spent 3 hours at villa rufolo which is barely a 3-minute walk from the hotel and we actually were willing to pay money to go again because it's so amazing. Do not miss!
