I have never stayed in such a bad hotel in my life. You need to park your car in the paid parking lot, and then the bus will take you to the meeting point to give your luggage, and then you have to walk a kilometer up the mountain in the hot sun to get to the hotel. All the facilities are from 79 years ago. The toilet is crooked, the bathroom is dirty, and the room smells musty. The hotel said it would be handled and then I took a hair dryer to blow it. Later, it was upgraded to the best room and barely stayed. As a result, I was injured in the sea the next day, but I didn’t arrange a car. There were seats on the luggage cart, but I didn’t sit. My husband carried me up the mountain. When I arrived at the door, they only opened a small door, and it was difficult to enter sideways. I contacted the hotel manager and made excuses throughout the process and refused to apologize. Ctrip has a good attitude, but you need to contact an intermediary to contact the hotel, and the feedback is very slow. Communicate directly with the hotel, and there is no intermediary at all. This is actually a five-star hotel, which is simply subverting cognition. 10,000 yuan a night, the experience is all ancient musty and unreasonable service attitude! ! ! Ctrip actually wants to promote such a hotel, whoever stays is unlucky! It is indeed an old castle, all the facilities and furniture are old. If you want to see the scenery, just buy a ticket for 10 euros to go into the castle and take pictures. Don't stay here! Don't stay here, don't stay here. I say it three times because it is important‼ ️

Incredible venue with extremely efficient staff We were there for a wedding which went perfectly except for a couple of things which considering the size of the celebration can be forgiven Cooking for 100 people can be difficult and I definitely dropped the ball here Extremely expensive, so come prepared but you really have to pay for the privilege of being in such an incredible place Structures like this on clifftops with many staff don’t come cheap If you want to have the most spectacular wedding on earth then have it here Just be prepared for the bottom line Although it’s expensive, I’d say worth every cent

Villa Cimbrone was exceptional! The hotel was gorgeous with amazing views to be had around every corner. The staff was very attentive and worked to anticipate all our needs. I would highly recommend a stay at Villa Cimbrone.

What views! Everywhere you look is another of the most beautiful views you’ve ever seen. At breakfast position yourself towards the coast or the gardens or even the beautiful old building and it’s breathtaking. Breakfast itself is a buffet and lovely. Staff very attentive (although the music is a bit special). The deluxe room was smallish and traditional but with a fabulous view worth the upgrade. Staff generally very helpful and friendly Lovely pool although the iron day beds get very very hot and you have to be careful to lie in a straight line and not be too tall lest you sear your skin. However, there seems to be a large wedding on every day, which closes parts of the gardens and even the infinity terrace, and the disco goes on late into the night with little consideration for those trying to sleep There was a small issue with the laundry not being taken away and the shower gel not replaced when empty. The flex on the lamp had exposed wires. However, a lovely stay and quite the best location (a sweaty walk to get there but your luggage is taken care of in the buggies, so it’s not too bad really)

Everything before our arrival, from making the reservation to liaison over arrival and transfer of bags to the hotel was exceptionally professional and made to seem very easy. The hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the start of the pedestrianised historical centre of Ravello so you meet the hotel’s porter there who arranges transfer of your bags and provides you with a map of the walking route to get there. Of itself this was an enjoyable experience. Check in is straightforward and we were provided with a choice of welcome drink. As expected, due to the time of our arrival, our room wasn’t ready but it didn’t take long and bags were waiting for us in the room. Room facilities were very good, as you’d expect. The only negative was that there is no ability to make yourself a cup of coffee (or tea) which seems increasingly unusual in today’s world. Staff were super helpful and organised a restaurant booking for us in Ravello and then an onward car transfer on our departure. There is a beautiful bar area, with garden, that affords sea views. Also the house is in a beautiful public garden which opens at 09:00 but as residents you can explore this in the peace and quiet before opening. Whilst the gardens are open to the public we had no disturbance to our stay from that dynamic. There is a small, but well equipped, gym which is to the side of a lovely pool area. The pool area has a bar service during the day. The hotel is home to a Michelin starred restaurant. That is reviewed separately. I would note that this hotel seems to be particularly popular with American visitors and also acts as a wedding venue.

Beautiful gardens and service. Friendly and attentive staff. The hotel itself is the biggest attraction in the town so it’s cool to stay at it. Stunning experience overall. It’s a bit of a trek to get to, but definitely worth it. The views are breathtaking.

Beautiful hotel, did not know until we arrived that you could not get there by car. You must walk 20 min up! This also means if you want to eat you will need to walk to restaurant/hotels in other locations. They do have a gelato/snack restaurant pretty close, and a Michelin star rated restaurant for dinner ($$$$$) but other than that you’ll be walking a bit. Very pretty, very elegant though.

Stayed here for the weekend. It was a pretty upsetting experience. Pros: this is a beautiful property with amazing views. Probably the prettiest site in Ravello, and definitely worth a visit to the gardens which are open to the public. Cons: -the bedrooms are tiny, drab, and extremely outdated. For $1,000 a night, a complete and total ripoff. The walls were scuffed, the shower leaked all over the floor, and the bed was two very uncomfortable twin mattresses pushed together and it kept breaking in the middle of the night. It was very difficult to sleep due to the terrible beds. -It’s really a hassle to get in and out of here. There is no parking or even a road to the hotel. You have to pre-arrange for the hotel to meet you almost a mile away to pick up your bags, and then walk to the hotel. Expect the whole thing to take about an hour upon arrival before you get to your room with your bags. -They nickel and dime you for everything. At $1000 a night you expect at least the basics to be included. But everything here is an insane extra charge. They even charge to deliver each item of luggage you arrive with to your room, even down to a small backpack! Just steaming two suits was 120 euros, and they don’t allow you to have an iron or steamer to do it yourself. And they don’t tell you upfront that there will be charges. -Worst of all is the staff. We’ve never been treated so rudely. Your presence is rarely even acknowledged and they treat you like they are annoyed you are there spending $1000 a night. They ruined my brand new suit at the laundry with stains and then tried to claim the stains were already there and that I was lying. Fortunately I took pictures before sending off the suit so was able to prove they caused the stains. Still they were so strangely rude about the whole thing, and tried to charge us anyhow for the steaming! The staff is totally rotten from the general manager down. I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel in my life. The owners of this hotel should hire new management and give the rooms the renovations they desperately need. It’s a shame to see such a beautiful property ruined by bad rooms, bad beds, and bad management. Until they do, avoid at all cost.
