We stayed in a new room, which was nice with a beautiful view. However, you couldn't walk anywhere in the hotel without it smelling like cigarettes. Big turnoff. Also, no coffee maker in the room. Otherwise quiet and a good walking distance from town.

We attended a wedding in Ravello and stayed at Hotel Graal as it was one golf the hotels recommended by the wedding planner. The hotel was very old, borderline an avoid if possible type of place. The hotel website uses inaccurate photos to lure you in. The reality is that very few rooms are renovated and most are old, with nonsensical old furniture and super uncomfortable beds. The vibe is creepy at best. The only redeeming quality was the view , but if you travel like us, you are in the room to sleep and change clothes. The breakfast buffet was ok, not great. The pool was dirty and next to a road w uphill traffic so the sound of motorized vehicles provided no relaxation. Our room had mold in the AC vents and bathroom. See photos. The shower flooded the bathroom when used. We felt duped! When discussed w front desk, she was defensive and stated hotel is sold out. I emailed the manager and suddenly they had two other rooms they could show us, that sadly were not much better.

This was our 2nd visit to the Graal and it was just as good as our first visit 6 years ago. The Hotel is in an excellent location with views overlooking Salerno Bay from every bedroom and all public spaces. Our room was perfect and we enjoyed an upgrade to a Junior Suite. The pool area also had amazing views of the bay. We went to the bar for a night cap every evening (a few other times too!) and Vittorio was a perfect host, very friendly and always welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, a fantastic spread with many options. All staff members were an asset to the hotel very friendly and helpful.

We have been to the Graal 19 times, I think that tells you something. It is always a pleasure to be here you are always made so welcome. The rooms all have the beautiful view, the restaurant is fantastic but what makes it special it is a family run hotel.

We were a large group of 14 people including a baby and seniors. From the beginning even before arriving, Marissa corresponded with us, about transportation and dinner reservations. The staff was great and very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast typical and rich selection of local cuisine and satisfying. The rooms were good and came with beautiful balcony view to take in daily. We loved our room even though it was modest, without tea or coffee options. The bathtub was dangerous especially for the elderly. The pool was great complete with food service and amazing views. Can’t have enough. Downside is that it closes at 6pm. The location is perfect, one minute from the public bus! The town of Ravello has such a mellow atmosphere, beautiful streets and villas and we went to the Ravello festival outside the hotel! Definitely would come back again and again a! Gracie mile

We had a fab holiday in Ravello and Hotel Graal was the perfect place to stay. Amalfi coast and towns on your doorstep and Ravello as a base is beautiful. Special thanks to Francesa and the front office team, always there to help. And to Vittorio (Victor!) who looked after us so well in the bar! We also had a great meal in the hotel restaurant on our wedding anniversary. Breakfast is also a highlight with many different options. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

This was my 3rd stay here, which says a lot as there are many wonderful places in Ravello. The staff were very helpful with advice about getting around the area. There was once a mix up about a ride we were to get (from an independent service). One of the hotel staff raced up the hill, tracked us down, and made sure we got our ride. The views of the balconies in the rooms are not to be beat. The rooms are small, but certainly adequate. But those trellised balconies ... made sunrise and sunset sublime. There's a large comfy lounge area off the restaurant that is great for a nightcap. Oh, and there's a nice pool with views of the sea. There's an opulent breakfast (among the best I've had in Italy in +7 trips). Here again, the wait staff was attentive and excellent. Some in our party had dietary restrictions and the staff remembered this after the first morning and took care of our needs with no fuss. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Duomo and town Square and Via Rufalo. It is also right near the local bus stand if you are planning excursions to Amalfi or other places. The hotel sells bus tickets and can tell you about schedules.

Just spent 4 nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it. It was the staff that made the hotel, to mention a couple, Vittorio in the bar and Antonio helping with luggage, parking and anything that you ask for. Absolutely brilliant service, a credit to the hotel. The rooms were stunning although the bathrooms could use some updates. The location is perfect for exploring the area.
