Sea View and fresh ingredients for breakfast including home-made bread which was excellent. There are generally 2 types: western and japanese breakfasts. Can't go wrong with either. Both are delicious!
Room is big enough for 3 pax and very clean. Toilet is crampy though. Other than that very friendly staff. Will deffo stay again if in that area.

Not bad, clean and warm, in this remote place, it is pretty good... Dinner is also good, the fish for breakfast is delicious, but a little less, you have to wait...

The hotel is clean and hygienic. You can see the sea by opening the window. It's just that the room was banging because of the strong wind. I couldn't sleep all night. The hotel's dinner ingredients are fresh and delicious. The breakfast is self-service. Good reviews

There's nothing else to choose from within half an hour's drive, come and you'll understand
We stayed for 5 nights on this trip for the eagles. We came to know about this place when we last visited Rausu in Feb 2020, while staying at a different hotel. There isn’t much choices for accommodation at Rausu. Glad we book this place in advance and like the modern MUJI feel of this place. The rooms are of decent size for 2 people but maybe crowded for 3 guests. There are about 10 rooms located on 2 floors. If you have luggages you may consider the ground floor units though it faces the carpark, there was little noise. Wifi signal was strong. The dinner meals provided were mainly western meals. Breakfast was either western or Japanese. Will definitely make this my base.

Shiretoko Sarai is a hotel located in Rebun-cho, Rausu-cho, Menashi-gun, Hokkaido. On June 30th, 2022, I drove through Rausu Town. From there, I drove to Shiretoko Sarai. Along National Route 335, there is a parking lot where about 5 cars can be parked. The inside of the building looks like this. There is a wood burning stove. On this day, it became a building that can be entered directly from the parking lot called B building. A system where you take off your shoes and put them in the shoe box yourself. It's the innermost room. It's a twin bedroom. Functionally equipped with TVs, water heaters, etc. There are many outlets. It's a unit bus. This is what shampoo looks like. The slippers are flimsy and disposable, so we recommend bringing your own. The scenery from the window is like this. You can see Kunashiri Island. It's nice to have a USB outlet by the bedside. It seems to be treated as a guest house, and it is a room for young people these days. There was even an aroma diffuser. The shower head was easy to use. wifi was fast enough too. Pajamas are one-piece type. It's 6:00, so I head to the dinner hall. The dinner hall is in the building where you checked in. Roasted deer meat. Carpaccio. The platter includes smoked cheese, fried kelp, and pickles. Carpaccio is whelk, water octopus, halibut, and flounder. menu. The drink menu looks something like this. The bread is made with homemade kelp. I asked for white wine. The wine is called CROIX SAINT ADEL. 2020 Chardonnay. It was 3,850 yen. Herb grilled cherry salmon and oysters. Dosuika tomato pasta. Catalana for dessert. It's similar to creme brulee, but it's a sweet from the Catalan region of Spain that uses wheat flour. At 7:30, head to the breakfast venue. It's a buffet. I got it at the center of Japanese food. I went ahead by car. Shiretoko Sarai 41-5 Rebun-cho, Rausu-cho, Menashi-gun, Hokkaido 0153-85-8800
