Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Raton

We arrived and were told that the hotel was under renovation. Our room was on the first floor and as we walked down the hall there was a terrible smell. For the money, this was not a good stay. AND, this is the second time that I have stayed a a Wyndham affiliate that was a disaster. I will not ever book Wyndham again.

Easy access to hotel. Seems nicest one in town. We got the larger room with a sofa. Beds and sofa were comfortable. Standard breakfast offered.older looking rooms.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! It was perfect for our roadtrip. Every room had been recently remodeled. (They were finishing up with the lobby.) The people working were sweet and helpful. We had a queen bed suite, so used the fridge and coffeemaker. The room was not "micro" at all, bigger than the typical room we get when we stay at a Tru by Hilton. We left before breakfast so I can't comment on that. I liked that it was pet free and smoke free. The price was so good I didn't think I'd get such a nice hotel!

The room was absolutely not clean! I did complain while I was there and even went and purchased cleaning supplies to clean the room as we were there for 4 nights. Not once did the manager contact me I have called multiple times and get no answer. Would not stay here again!

Needed a room for one night to just sleep in for 10 hours while I meet up with a friend, so I was trying to not be picky. I did the online check in option which was a little confusing as they made it seem mandatory, but it is not. The benefit of it though is that we were checking in late around 10pm and you can note it. Check in was easy and the women behind the desk was very friendly. We had an issue finding my reservation, but it was because I had already checked in online. For it being almost 10pm she was in a great mood! :) They were doing a lot of construction which was an eye sore but maybe it will improve the outdated style. The room was basic. Bed, shower and couch. On a cleanliness factor it was around a 6.5/7. There were stains on the floor and a few dust piles but nothing obscene. It did the job while we slept for a few hours. It seemed to be basically empty with a few other cars in the lot, so we didn't hear anyone. It did seem a little run down when it came to the broken laundry food, and the vending machine rooms being fairly empty. Enjoyed the fact that they had a continental breakfast. It had some juice options, waffle maker, fruit yogurt, coffee, bagels and toast. Wish they did have something with protein like hard boiled eggs, a tea option would be nice too, but it did the trick. Overall, 3.5/5 stars. I wouldn't choose to stay here for more than a night maybe two but in a pinch it all worked out.

All the rooms had been renovated and were very clean, spacious, with all the amenities, plenty of outlets, etc . The beds were very comfortable . The breakfast included hot and cold choices and the staff was over the top helpful with everything.
